Greetings, My partner Chris and I are just starting our search for a birth doula. This will be our first baby and I have had a healthy pregnancy so far. I'm planning to give birth at Kaiser Oakland with an epidural. I would love to find a doula who has experience with Kaiser and billing as I understand that doulas could be covered by Kaiser. We are still very open minded about birth plan and hope to create this with support of a doula. What I do know is that I would be giving birth in a hospital setting, am 40 yo, this is my first childbirth, in support of an epidural, would like to avoid c-section. Help with positioning during labor, and someone who could normalize birthing for a first time mommy would be ideal!

Reaching out to see if you have availability to support our due date: July 30th, 2026. We are planning for an unmedicated hospital birth at Kaiser Oakland and are interested in in-person doula support. It’s our first baby! We’re hoping for support in preparing thoughtful and flexible birth preferences ahead of time, comfort and education throughout labor/birth, helping to hold our birth plan with the medical team during labor/birth, and guiding us through the unpredictability of labor so we can stay present with eachother/body/baby and make informed decisions as they come. Also curious about your openness to capture photo/video during birth. We are also interested in postpartum support, though we’re still learning and exploring what might be most resourcing, but are especially interested in breastfeeding support, settling into life at home, and support with my physical recovery. Curious about meal support in the first week. We’d love to learn more about Your availability to support a July 30th due date Confirmation that you would be available to support in-person for labor and birth Back-up plan/support if the baby comes earlier/later than due date, if you happen to be unavailable Confirmation that the doula is contracted directly with Kaiser Out of pocket cost(s) and reimbursement/billing process using Kaiser insurance If it feels aligned, we’d be happy to set up a time to connect by phone. We look forward to hearing from you! Warmly, Haley & Jesse (502)-387-9490
My husband Joshua and I are excited to welcome our first child this September. I'm currently 19 weeks along and planning to deliver with Kaiser (Oakland). I'm hoping to explore a more low-intervention birth experience, while still staying open to an epidural if I decide I want one. I'm really looking for a doula who can provide support, guidance, and help us feel informed and confident throughout the process, especially as first time parents. I'd love to learn more about your approach, the services you offer, and your availability around my due date. Please let me know if you're available to connect!
