I am seeing an OBGYN at the University of Utah hospital here in Salt Lake but I am searching for a doula that could advocate for my more natural leaning birth plan in case I am unable to do so. This is my first baby and I am more wholistic minded but do not completely trust that the hospital will respect my wishes and I am hoping to find someone that will be consistent with my wishes and advocate for them where needed. My wife and I are expecting our first child in Late September. We have family here in the valley but we've been advised on the benefits of hiring a doula for both the birthing and postpartum phases. My wife has expressed to me the difficulties she's had with managing anxieties about things that can go wrong so any resources we can use to prepare for both pre and post partum depression would be something we're interested in too. We'd like to have those resources identified and ready to take advantage of before we need them. We are currently planning on scheduling the birth at IMC.

I’m currently pregnant with my 3rd and last baby. Either my first I gave birth to her under 6 hours with limited medication. With my second I had an extremely traumatic forced unmedicated birth not so to medical complications but due to a doctor who made a decision without my consent nor my husband’s. My second birth was 4 hours long. My deliveries are getting shorter so If avoidable I do not want to give birth in a hospital again.

Give birth at hospital, looking for mental and emotional support

My first baby's due date is 9/20/2026. I would love to find a doula that can vouch for me in a hospital setting. We're planning on going to Jordan Valley Hospital. Ideally, I'd like to have a water birth with other ways to manage pain, nitrous gas, etc. Budget is around 2,000.

I want to give birth in hospital with OB. I just need someone to help me during labor and post labor and the first few weeks 1-2 nights while I adjust . I also need help learning basic things. How to burp correctly, how to swaddle, how to bathe things like that. Requirements at least 4 years of experience and certified doula . Also possible help with cleaning and laundry

I plan on giving birth at LDS hospital in SLC. I’m taking hypnobirthing classes, and hoping to give birth in a tub. My husband won’t be present, but my mom will, she doesn’t speak Spanish so I’m hoping to find someone bilingual, but if that’s not possible I’m okay with that. I want someone that can advocate for me when I can’t. I’m also looking for someone that would accept Tricare West insurance.
