Hi. I am looking for a Doula or Midwife to be present in the delivery room and support with birth and my birth plan. I plan to give birth at The Ottawa Hospital. My birth plan includes delayed cord clamping, immediate skin to skin, different birthing positions, delayed pain medication.

I want to give birth either at home or in a birthing center

1. Samaritan Hospital 2. I’m unsure what it would cost but I’d say between $3,000-$5,000. 3. VBAC, Natural labor progression, pain meds & epidural. No foley ballon, or Pitocin, C section only if medically necessary.

I don’t have insurance and I’m pregnant so I’m trying to find my best option

Plan to give birth in the hospital and only birth plan is to have a epidural and me and baby stay healthy

Hi there! I have a dear friend who is due end of May with her second baby, I am her doula and attended her first birth at the hospital. She had a midwife and wanted a homebirth for her first but wasn’t able to due to complications. She was going to just commit to hospital birth for this baby but has recently had a change of heart so I am reaching out to see if you are still practicing and perhaps available. I know using insurance would be a huge support for her and her husband who are small business owners in the food industry. I wanted to reach out first to see if you’re accepting clients before I share your info and get her hopes up because she’s had some trouble finding care. I want a home water birth for my 4th child, but I'm open to delivering in a hospital with proper support. I've never been delivered by any of the OBs I've seen for prenatal care in my previous pregnancies. The most important thing for me is to work with someone who will see me through the entire process of prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care.

My priority is feeling safe, respected, and supported with minimal exams and clear consent for any procedures. Budget is moderate and flexible for the right supportive match. I want a doula who can advocate for my preferences, help maintain a calm environment, support natural pain-coping techniques, and involve my husband as an active support person.
