First baby, planning a hospital birth at Kaiser SF. Hoping for an unmedicated birth. I am looking for an experienced Doula who can support me physically, emotionally and spiritually. Someone who is experienced in birth support, and who feels capable of holding the most sacred, steady energy with me to birth in a hospital, which is not my first choice but is supported by my doctor and midwives I asked because I have ITP (low platelets) and they both feel birthing in hospital is safest. I'm a sensitive and strong person, I want the least amount of intervention possible, and I thrive with caring, steady support. I am hoping to work through Kaiser insurance for at least partial coverage.

This is our second baby. We also have a three year old son who goes to preschool in the morning. Through Carrot we have a benefit of $15,000 that we can use before December 5. We are looking for a mix of daytime and nighttime support, ideally with the same person but also open to different people. Start date would ideally be the week of October 5 and then the last week would be the week of November 30.

We are first-time parents expecting a baby girl via a planned C-section at Stanford on September 16. We live in San Bruno and are looking for an experienced postpartum doula or newborn care specialist to begin after we return from the hospital. Our priority is overnight support for approximately 8–12 hours per night, ideally 5–7 nights per week for the first 2–4 weeks, with flexibility to extend. We need help with feeding, burping, diaper changes, soothing, swaddling, bottle and pump-part cleaning, and tracking the baby’s feeding and sleep. We would especially value someone trained in lactation support who can assist with breastfeeding, latch, positioning, pumping, and recognizing when an IBCLC should be consulted. Experience supporting C-section recovery is also important. The provider must communicate comfortably in English and have strong newborn experience. Postpartum doula or newborn-care training, infant CPR/First Aid, excellent references, and knowledge of current safe-sleep practices are strongly preferred. We want responsive newborn care and healthy sleep foundations—not “cry it out” or formal sleep training during the newborn stage.

I want vaginal birth as much as possible unless there are absolute necessary conditions/complications that require a C-section. I don't want induction unless it's absolutely necessary. I want an epidural and also open to try other pain relieving methods but that doesn't mean I don't want epidural.

We are hoping you can provide us with specific, actionable ways for Shaheen to support me during pregnancy, especially during labor, and during the postpartum period. Prenatal planning, in-person labor support, postpartum support. Our insurance provider Kaiser provides up to 11 visits and we plan to use Kaiser. Mandarin Speaking. We would like to use Kaiser Insurance and not pay additional out of pocket.

Looking for a birth doula that is fully covered by my Kaiser Norcal plan. I am being induced soon -- 10/1/26 (39 weeks) -- at Kaiser Redwood City but just learned that health insurance now covers doulas so am a bit behind. I will use the birth plan from my first child as a rough guide but I know that it can all quickly go out the door as it did with him. My intention is to deliver vaginally and get an epidural.
