I plan to give birth at home and my budget is under $4000. I have had 3 prior homebirths, I don’t have a birth plan yet besides that I want to be at home.

I am wanting to exclusively breastfeed, absolutely no formula. I would like to receive more information on specific vaccines or situations that happen to/with my child after birth that I have opinions over. I am wanting a support person who knows what they are doing, as my husband has never been through this before and I know he will do his best but I'm worried he will get a little bit overwhelmed. I'm unsure of my budget as I am unsure what the regular rates are.

I’m in a bit of a unique situation, as I’ll be PCS’ing from Hawaii to Point Loma at the end of April 2026, which means I’ll be transferring care mid-pregnancy. Because of this transition, I’m hoping to connect early and thoughtfully with a midwifery practice that can help make the move as smooth and supported as possible. I’m very interested in pursuing a home birth and learning about the best options for a natural first birth. In addition, my faith is very important to me, and I’m hoping for a birth experience that is not only physiologically supported but also spiritually grounded. Planning a natural birth, with no family close by to help with toddler. Which is why im requesting a birth doula. This would be our first time requesting a doula or midwife so we're not sure what our budget would be for this service. Im currently 30 weeks pregnant and to be honest im not even sure what to do. My first birth experience wasnt bad but it wasnt the greatest and had no guidance. I was lucky to have a vaginal birth with my first but with epidural at 41 weeks. I was induced because I wasnt fully informed. I would prefer not to be induced or receive pitocin because the contractions from that were horrible. They said I had to be induced because they couldn't really feel my baby moving, but I feel, now, that I could have done 100% natural without being induced. I don't want to feel coerced into making that decision again. I want skin to skin immediately, wait for my placenta to come naturally, and cut the umbilcal off when it has become pale, a decision that i wasnt allowed to make with my first. I'd hold off on vaccines at first except the vitamin k.
