In my most recent position, I spent eight years with one family, caring for their first child beginning at six weeks old and their second from birth. Newborn Care Specialist Support

Comprehensive newborn care including feeding support, diapering, bathing, swaddling, soothing, sleep support, bottle and pump-part cleaning/sterilization, breast milk handling and storage, nursery organization, developmental observation, and detailed tracking of feeds, sleep, and diapers. Care is individualized to the family’s parenting preferences and the baby’s needs.

What to expect

I provide warm, attentive newborn and infant care tailored to each family’s preferences, routines, and parenting philosophy. My services include feeding and breastfeeding support, bottle and pump-part preparation and sterilization, breast milk handling and storage, diapering, bathing, swaddling, soothing, age-appropriate sleep support and sleep conditioning, nursery organization, and developmental and milestone tracking. I can also maintain detailed feeding, sleep, and diaper records so parents have clear, consistent information about their baby’s daily patterns and progress. I also provide postpartum support designed to make the transition home with a newborn easier for parents, including practical newborn guidance, establishing manageable routines, and helping parents become comfortable recognizing and responding to their baby’s cues. I am comfortable supporting families who choose different approaches to feeding and sleep and believe care should be collaborative rather than one-size-fits-all. My goal is to provide calm, dependable support while promoting a safe, nurturing environment for the baby and respecting the parents’ choices for their family.

What is your approach to newborn care?

I believe newborn care should be individualized to each baby and family. I work collaboratively with parents, respect their parenting preferences, and pay close attention to the baby’s cues while supporting safe, developmentally appropriate routines. My goal is to provide calm, consistent care while helping parents feel supported and confident.

Do you support breastfeeding families?

Yes. I have hands-on experience supporting breastfeeding families, including bringing baby to the parent for feeds, handling and storing expressed breast milk, cleaning and sterilizing pump parts and bottles, and supporting established pumping and feeding routines. I am also completing additional lactation education to expand my knowledge.

Can you provide overnight newborn care?

Yes. I am available for overnight newborn care and can manage feeding support, diapering, soothing, settling, sleep routines, tracking, and baby-related cleanup throughout the night. For breastfeeding families, I can bring baby to the parent for nursing and handle diapering, soothing, and settling afterward to maximize the parent’s opportunity for rest.

Do you use a specific sleep-training method?

I do not believe every family or baby requires the same approach. I have experience supporting structured sleep routines and formal sleep training, as well as using the SNOO. I am comfortable following a family’s preferred approach, including families who do not wish to sleep train, while supporting safe and age-appropriate sleep habits.

What ages do you specialize in?

My primary focus is newborns and young infants. My broader childcare experience extends from newborn care through the elementary years, which has also given me the opportunity to see how children develop over time and how their needs change from infancy onward.

I am calm, observant, organized, and comfortable taking initiative while still respecting that parents make the decisions for their child.
