About Allison

I am a 34 year old Florida native who has had a passion for babies since I was practically just a baby myself. My nursing career began in 2015 when I worked on an adult PCU (ICU step-down) floor at AdventHealth Hospital in Altamonte Springs. After a few years gaining my skills, I transitioned to postpartum care and eventually accepted a position as a Team Leader of the Mother Baby Unit at AdventHealth in Tampa. I was a full-time charge nurse; coordinating between Labor & Delivery, Women’s Care, NICU, and the Postpartum Unit. I was also responsible for all of the initial assessments for babies born during my night- shifts. I loved this role and gained so much experience caring for new moms and babies. Unfortunately, I had to undergo an unexpected cervical spine surgery in 2022 and ultimately had to leave the bedside as a result. One surgery turned into two, and my recovery time was rather extensive. That time away from nursing was difficult, but I realized what I missed most during my time away was caring for newborns and helping new families. When I was ready to get back on my feet, I initially started working for a local night-nurse agency until I eventually developed an organic word-of-mouth clientele of my own. I have spent the last 3 years working with 18 different families (references available) as they welcomed new little lives into the world. I take great pride in my work and hope to bring a sense of calm and peace to your home during a time that is often a bit chaotic and anxiety-inducing. I have worked nights since the very beginning of my nursing career, so you can rest peacefully knowing there is someone used to the all-nighters caring for your newborn.

I also offer light tidying of shared spaces and laundry services at a premium rate upon request.

Having Allison as our night nurse was such a blessing for my husband and I. As first time parents we were nervous to leave our precious newborn with someone new while we tried to get some much needed rest, but from day 1 she was confident, capable, compassionate and kind. Allison was always respectful of our requests, but knew when to offer suggestions based on her experience. We learned so much from her and knew we could ask her anything. It was like having a best friend in your house that helped guide you in a new phase of life and we are forever grateful for her partnership.

I knew the early postpartum period would be filled with minimal rest, but my husband and I really felt the effects of sleepless nights (times two!) when our 33-weeker twins came home. Allison started working with our family when our boys were six weeks old and her help was immeasurable over the following months. Our twins were medically stable after leaving the NICU, but Allison’s medical background gave us even more peace of mind during her overnight stays. She was an absolute natural with our babies from night one and we immediately felt very confident in her ability to care for them and follow any instructions regarding their feeding schedule. In addition to feeding, bathing, changing, and comforting our boys during their nighttime wakings, Allison cleaned and sterilized bottles, washed and folded the babies’ laundry, and completed general tidying around our house. She always went above and beyond. When one of our boys was struggling with feeding, she was kind enough to bring a different bottle to try with him. She also sent us some adorable photos of the boys from the overnights. This was particularly sweet for me because I didn’t want to feel like I was missing out on precious moments with my babies, but also desperately needed sleep. I told my husband that the only mornings I felt rested and didn’t have to hit the ground running catching up on washing bottles and other tasks were the mornings following an “Allison night.” We will always be so grateful to have had the privilege to work with Allison, especially as first- time parents. Our twins are now 12 months and, to this day, I still miss having her around the house! Allison is compassionate, professional, reliable, and very skilled in her ability to help newborns and parents of newborns. I would highly recommend her to any family and would absolutely love to work with her again in the future.

We are so happy to have met Allison! She was our night nurse with our first born and was such a calming and helpful presence as we adjusted to our first few weeks of parenthood. She has amazing experience and went above and beyond to ensure our whole family was taken care of – offering valuable advice, answering all of our questions, and making sure she checked in on me as well as I recovered from my c section. She was a great communicator and provided thorough reports (with pictures!) of how our son did each night while my husband and I were able to catch up on much needed sleep. Every morning we would wake up to a spotless house and a happy SLEEPING baby! After just a few weeks with Allison, our son was sleeping great and we felt so much more confident as parents. We still keep in touch and will continue to work with her for future children. I have already referred her to several friends and family members and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a qualified, professional, and genuine person to help them welcome a new baby to their family.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work full-time as a postpartum concierge RN?

Yes! I left the hospital/bedside nursing in 2022 and transitioned to concierge nursing in 2023. I work full-time as an overnight newborn nurse, in client's homes. I do not have any daytime jobs and arrive to clients homes rested.

Are you ok with cameras?

Absolutely! Cameras are welcomed and encouraged. I often intentionally keep baby within camera frame so that parents can look back to learn tips and tricks for swaddling, soothing..etc. Cameras are not permitted in private spaces (bathroom) and must be disclosed ahead of time, they are also not permitted to be pointed directly at RN's sleep-space.

Do we have to be home the whole time RN is here?

No. Parents are welcome to have a date night or run errands while RN is caring for baby at home. I also provide 24-hour care to babies if parents need to go out of town as well.

How do we pay?

Payment is due at the end of each week. RN will leave a paper invoice for the parents at the end of each week, for you to keep for your personal record. Cash, check, venmo, and zelle are accepted forms of payment.

Do you have experience with preemie babies or multiples?

Yes I do. While I was not a NICU nurse, I did 'float' over to the NICU on occasion to help with "feeder grower" infants. I am accustomed to paced feeding, ultra slow flow nipples, cleft palettes..etc. I also have experience with twins, both in the hospital setting, and in the private concierge-nurse setting.

I'm breastfeeding, how do you handle nighttime feedings?

For fully breastfeeding moms, I will bring your baby to you when he/she is ready to eat. I will gently wake you when baby is ready, and help set you up in bed for a comfortable nursing experience. Once baby is done, you simply text me and I will come grab baby. I then take care of burping, diapering, and holding up right for a bit. You get to go right back to sleep :)
