About Amelia

Hi, I'm Amelia! I am a mother of two, a postpartum doula, and a yoga teacher living in Massachusetts. As an Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula, I tend to the unique needs of new mothers throughout pregnancy, postpartum healing, and early parenthood. I provide individualized support to help new parents move through these seasons feeling grounded and renewed. Rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom, my postpartum care provides warm healing foods, hands-on bodywork, grounding breath practices, and space for true rest. I honor the Sacred Window after birth, helping you feel held and deeply nurtured as you step into this new chapter. When I'm not supporting families, you can find me trailing behind my two little ones on a hike or standing beside a helper stool in the kitchen.

I offer compassionate, personalized postpartum care to all birthing people as a certified Ayurvedic Postpartum Doula. My approach is rooted in the wisdom of Ayurveda, honoring the sacred healing journey after birth with nourishing foods, grounding bodywork and breathwork, and an attunement to your individual needs. I’ll help you create space for rest and provide care to nurture the tender transition from birth into new parenthood by offering: Nourishing, organic meals cooked in your home; Ayurvedic bodywork, including Abhyanga oil application; Grounding breath practices and gentle postnatal yoga; Lactation and breastfeeding support; Belly wrapping and belly binding; Closing of the Bones Ceremonies I see the first year after birth as a time to weave together all parts of ourselves—body, mind, and heart—as we grow alongside our little ones. When you feel deeply held in your postpartum experience, you can soften into the joy of getting to know your baby. I believe every birther deserves this care, and I would be honored to walk beside you on this journey.

Amelia offers heart-led care to postpartum families. I highly recommend her perinatal yoga classes. They are gentle and offered a sense of calm that was deeply needed during postpartum with my son. Additionally, Amelia's in-home abhyanga massage was relaxing and warming. Such a treat to experience massage in my home! I can not recommend her enough to friends both pregnant and postpartum!

Frequently asked questions

What is a Postpartum Doula?

A postpartum doula provides emotional and physical support for mothers after birth by providing evidence-based information and hands-on care in the early weeks of postpartum healing. The Sacred Window, or The Fourth Trimester, is traditionally seen as the first 6-8 weeks following birth, but postpartum care can extend far beyond this initial phase of recovery. I wholeheartedly believe we are forever postpartum after birth, and I love working with clients at any stage of their journeys. My offerings are centered around supporting deep healing through nourishing foods, gentle bodywork, and compassionate presence. I also offer guidance with newborn care and lactation, so you can feel confident and supported as you bond with your baby and settle into this tender new chapter.

What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is a traditional system of Indian medicine with roots dating back over 5000 years. The word “Ayurveda” comes from Sanskrit and translates to “the science of life.” It is a holistic wisdom science that seeks to harmonize our internal and external worlds, supporting the relationship between body, mind, spirit, and environment. Ayurveda views the postpartum period as a sacred season of transformation. The first forty-two days after childbirth are recognized as a vital window for rest, healing, nourishment, and bonding between mother and baby. This Sacred Window calls for attentive and individualized care to deeply support mothers as they recover and enter new parenthood.
