Service introduction

I am a doula based in North London offering support during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. As a doula, I provide emotional, physical and educational support the perinatal period. I offer 1-1 antenatal support with you and your birth partner where we cover birth physiology, creating a birth plan, advocating during birth and the role of birth partners. I will be on call for you until you give birth and also offer postnatal support to help you once your newborn arrives. I also facilitate free pregnancy support classes in London at the Neighbourhood Doulas Perinatal Hub for those who belong to a marginalised group including Black, brown, queer and trans people. Prenatal Support
2-3 at home or virtual sessions where we will explore: - Your birth plan/preferences to share with your healthcare providers - Tools to manage emotional and practical obstacles to a satisfying experience of birth. - Your rights as a birthing person. - Perinatal mental health resources - What gender affirmative care and language means to you? - Options for comfort measures/pain relief to work out what’s best for you - Breathwork and mindfulness (The first session can be booked on it's own for £80 or as part of the birth support)

Birth Support
I will be on call from 38 weeks until you give birth. During and after birth, I will: - Provide emotional and physical support. - Advocate for your wishes as described in your birth plan - Help prepare your home in cases of homebirth - Help you maintain calmness via tools and techniques practised beforehand - Maintain a serene space for you and communicate your wishes to medical staff - Help you to establish skin-to-skin contact with your baby and initiate chest/breast/bodyfeeding - Support you with documentation of your birth

Postnatal Support
Within a week of your birth, I will visit you for a debrief to: - Check how you are feeling - Discuss your postpartum healing - Process your birth experience together - Continue support with with chest/breast/bodyfeeding -Prepare nutritious hot meals and relaxing sitz baths for you - Signpost appropriate resources and help you establish links within your local community -Do light housework so that you are able to rest and shower - I offer additional postnatal support when possible at an hourly rate
