I am a first time mom having a hospital birth at Providence hospital in anchorage alsaska. My insurance is american blue cross blue shield. At the birht it will be me, my husband, midwife, and a doula. I want coaching in birth as I am very inexperienced (I am the youngest so I never watched my mom go through this stuff). I want a natural birth but I am open to any births and any direction my labor takes me. Epidurals scare me, but I am not sure how my labor will be so I will want guidance through that. I imagine myself walking around through labor, changing positions multiple times, taking contractions in a bathtub, and giving birth in a squating position (leaning up against someting) or on all fours.
Planning to give birth in hospital. I want a less restricted labor as possible. Looking for advocate of birthing plan and support of my husband and I. I want delayed cord clamping. I would like to go unmedicated.
