My name is Aonya’. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse and CPR Certified aspiring to become a doula. Right now I am on my journey as a postpartum nurse looking to help new mothers. From a young age, I have always had a deep love for babies. I spent my childhood caring for my doll babies, feeding, changing, and nurturing them. At just four years old, I eagerly rushed home from school to catch episodes of "A Baby Story," captivated by the journey of new parenthood. My passion for maternal care led me to begin volunteering at Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware, at the age of 14, where I worked in the postpartum unit, stocked supplies, and had the joy of seeing newborns in the nursery. I knew early on that I wanted to become a nurse. I began my healthcare journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), providing compassionate care to seniors in nursing homes and assisted living facilities for over 12 years. After getting married and becoming a mother of two, I experienced firsthand the challenges of postpartum life. I can remember shortly after giving birth not having that huge support system around. I often found myself in need of support and guidance and had I known about this care earlier on it would of relieved me of so many challenges I faced. Once my children were old enough for daycare, I decided to pursue my LPN license, graduating during the challenging times of COVID-19. I began working in home healthcare, focusing on pediatrics, and had the privilege of caring for several newborns as a nurse.Throughout my journey, I’ve supported many families, especially single mothers, and have heard countless stories that have deepened my understanding of the unique challenges they face. In 2025, I took my skills to the next level by becoming a postpartum concierge nurse. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, I am dedicated to providing personalized postpartum services to mothers. I understand that the transition to motherhood can be overwhelming, filled with a whirlwind of emotions and uncertainties. That’s why I am here—to offer not only my clinical expertise but also the support and reassurance you need during this precious time. My goal is to help you feel safe and secure as you navigate this new chapter of your life. I am committed to alleviating your concerns and providing the extra help you deserve, allowing you to focus on bonding with your baby. Becoming a mom is a big deal. You're not just caring for a new life; you're also transforming. We'll navigate the ups and downs of new motherhood together. What You Get: 4 weeks of care! Emotional Support: 30-45 min weekly call Visit: 2 day weekly up tp 6hr Day or 8 hrs Night support Feeding support with all infant feeding (breast, bottle ), tips for proper positioning, latch, concerns Newborn care – Care for the newborn while you take time for personal care &/or other tasks Errands- provide assistance with non medical errands such as grocery shopping/picking up prescriptions/essentials Light Housekeeping Assistance- light cleaning, laundry, organizing Physical assistance with ADLs- provide help with personal care, bathing, dressing, & mobility to mother Postpartum Education- provide resources about self-care practices, hygiene, common physical changes General monitoring- basic vital signs( blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respirations) Emotional support- offering a listening ear to the mother during the transition into postpartum life Newborn Health Monitoring- Record basic data such as feeding patterns
