I have been so lucky to hire Melissa twice as a doula now and I could not recommend her services enough. She is a wonderful advocate for mothers and truly listened to what I needed. She gave me the space to think about what my needs might be and I don’t think I would have known without her there to ask those questions. She helped prep our whole family in a way where I felt so well cared for. For both of the births Melissa was there for, as soon as she walked in I felt a huge sigh of relief. She was there and she had me and my back and I fully trusted her to guide me. We were also fortunate enough to hire her postpartum doulas! We had the pleasure of working with Veronica, Danielle and Bernadette. Everyone brought different outstanding qualities that were a total joy to experience. They went above and beyond to learn about our families needs and fit right in. I trusted all of them with my postpartum care, cooking meals, giving my husband a break and endless sibling entertainment for my bigger kids so I could snuggle in bed with our new baby. I felt so well supported my body was able to heal physically and I could emotionally take space when needed. There was always round the clock care and they were quick to fill our schedule when I quickly realized I needed more support than I had initially intended. I wish all mothers could experience this kind of care.

I hired Nia Nchami as a doula for the birth of my second daughter in 2022. After an initial conversation via email, she came to our house and really listened to my concerns, fears and hopes for my delivery. She took extensive notes and created a birth plan that truly encapsulated what I wanted for the birth. We stayed in contact for several months and talked more frequently as my due day neared. When the day came, she was a force of nature. She kept me calm and confident. She helped me to navigate the birthing process. But most importantly, advocated for me with my doctors, nurses and healthcare staff to ensure that I received the best care. I can truly say that I had a much better experience giving birth than the first time and Nia was a big reason why. She is extremely professional, but also calm and caring. I’m so glad that I found her!

Meet Kamilla Kamilla is a Full Spectrum Doula through Cornerstone Birthwork Training, as well as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) trained through Newborn Care Solutions. With over 5 years of international experience, she is passionate about providing compassionate, knowledgeable, and individualized support to families during the postpartum and newborn period. Born and raised in Brazil in a large, loving family, Kamilla grew up surrounded by caregiving. Inspired by her grandmother, a traditional midwife, she developed a deep connection to newborn care, maternal support, and nurturing practices from an early age. Her passion for postpartum care became even more personal after supporting her own mother through postpartum depression. This experience gave her a deeper understanding of how vulnerable, emotional, and overwhelming the postpartum transition can be. Through her professional experience, she has also supported families navigating baby blues and postpartum depression, always providing compassionate, nonjudgmental support while recognizing when additional professional care may be needed. Kamilla has additional training in Montessori Education, Sleep Training through Summer Secret, and Early Childhood Development. She is currently continuing her education in Breastfeeding Education through CAPPA and pursuing her nursing education to further expand her knowledge of maternal and newborn care. With a background in law and extensive hands-on experience caring for newborns and supporting families, Kamilla brings together professional education, practical experience, and genuine compassion. She understands that postpartum is not always the beautiful, effortless experience portrayed online. It can be exhausting, emotional, unpredictable, and overwhelming. Her goal is to create a calm and supportive environment where parents can rest, recover, bond with their baby, and feel confident in their new role. Kamilla provides individualized support based on each family’s unique needs, with a focus on newborn care, postpartum recovery, sleep support, feeding support, and the emotional well-being of the family. Her philosophy is simple: When we care for the mother, we care for the entire family.

Kamilla was an incredible postpartum doula for our family. Her calm, compassionate support gave us the confidence to navigate those first few weeks with our newborn while also allowing us to get much-needed rest. She cared for our son Dylan with so much love and attention. We are so grateful for everything she did, and we can't recommend her highly enough.

Rasheada Wallace has been an absolute blessing to my family and me during the birth and early postpartum period of our newborn. From the moment we began working together, Rasheada Wallace exceeded our expectations in every way, offering not just professional support, but genuine care and compassion. Rasheada Wallace demonstrated a deep knowledge of birth and postpartum practices, and I felt completely confident in her expertise. Her calm presence and thoughtful guidance helped us navigate every challenge with grace, whether it was providing emotional support during labor or offering practical advice for newborn care. She always took the time to listen to our concerns, answer our questions, and tailor her approach to meet our unique needs. What truly set Rasheada apart was her unwavering dedication to ensuring our well-being as new parents. Her support didn’t end at birth—she continued to check in, offering advice on breastfeeding, infant sleep, and self-care for me as I recovered. Her encouragement and reassurances were invaluable, and her hands-on assistance with our newborn allowed us to adjust to our new role with much more confidence and peace of mind.

Dia duit, hello! I am Eilís and I am a certified doula and full spectrum birth worker in Philadelphia PA. I have long been drawn to pregnancy and birth, and after the birth of my first baby at 16, I first trained to be a doula in 2005. I apprenticed and assisted with midwives for many years, and am also a trauma-informed social worker, herbalist, yoga teacher, and energy and body worker. I weave my experiences and skill sets together, providing intuitive and tailored physical, informational, educational, mental, emotional, and spiritual supports. I see the role of a doula or monitrice as a steward- someone to tend to and watch over the person, couple, family during labor, birth, and postpartum and providing care and remedies as is fit and called for. Every birth, body, baby is unique and I see it as my role to meet everyone where they're at. Some people need every bell and whistle, some people need their back squeezed for 12 hours, some people need a quiet, confident witness to be present, but hands off. I am here for all of that and everything in between. Outside of birth work, I am a mother to seven and I love to garden, cook, learn Irish, swim in all bodies of water, and overall, just have a good time of it.

Recent review

Eilís was my birth doula for my first child and I couldn't recommend her more! My husband and I felt comfortable immediately the first time we met with her and she met with us several times pre-natal to talk through what I wanted in my birth experience. She was on-call the weeks around my due date and I felt comfortable texting her when I wasn't sure if my contractions had started. Having her with me during labor was so helpful! She offered counter-pressure, suggested positions, helped me navigate decision-making, and talked me through contractions. It was so helpful to have someone on my team with calm confidence. After my baby was born, Eilís met with me several times, she brought me teas, she talked through my birth experience and offered advice on early parenthood. Truly, I would not want to do this again without her!

Hi, my name is Iris, and I am a doula in the Philadelphia area! My driving philosophy is that it takes a village--and for many years, I delved into that through nannying, helping parents care and raise their littles, but now my goal has been to rewind a little--and focus on the foundation of where that starts. With the parents and the births! As a doula, I am here to support you in your journey to parenthood! While that may look different depending on your family's needs, it generally means I am here to support you in figuring out what a satisfying birth looks like to you and to advocate for you during the stress of labor, so that you may focus on the labor itself! So while I am newer to the doula realm, I am a veteran in "being the village" and supporting growing families--I can't wait to support yours! I am currently offering discounts for my first ten clients and payment plans/sliding scale is always available as well! Feel free to email with inquiries regarding services or availability at Imwfamilysupport@gmail.com.

Iris was a great help with our kids this summer! She’s very hands on with whatever activity they’re getting into and has built such a great connection with them. They are always so excited on days she comes in and this is especially true when she brings her daughter—who, as far as they’re concerned, is just there for a playdate! Having the extra hand made such a difference over the 3 months as made the move from our old home to our new one! We wish her the best of luck!

We cannot recommend Melissa enough. My husband and I were looking for overnight care for our newborn son, and from our very first video call, we had that immediate feeling: she was the one. What stood out was how much she wanted to understand us as parents. She asked what we needed, what we hoped to learn, and what would help us feel more comfortable and confident. As first-time parents, we had so many questions, and Melissa always welcomed them, no matter how silly we worried they might be. She made us feel comfortable asking anything and took the time to talk things through with us. Melissa was there for our very first night home with our son, and I cannot imagine a better person to have alongside us as we figured everything out. From the moment she walked through our door, I felt at ease. Being able to go to sleep knowing our son was safe, loved, and so thoughtfully cared for meant everything. Her guidance covered so many of the things we were trying to figure out: caring for our newborn, feeding, breastfeeding, pumping, safely storing breast milk, and building a freezer stash. Having someone help us work through those things in our own home was incredibly valuable. And, of course, getting some sleep so we could function during the day was a huge gift! I was also recovering from a C-section, and Melissa’s understanding of what my body was going through was such a comfort. There is so much information online, and trying to make sense of it all while recovering and caring for a newborn can feel overwhelming. Having someone knowledgeable and reassuring to turn to made such a difference. Melissa also set us up to feel confident after her time with us ended. She shared so much practical information and guidance that we felt prepared to put what we had learned into practice on our own. Her support stayed with us long after she left. Melissa will always be such a special part of our first weeks as parents. She gave us rest, reassurance, and confidence when we needed all three, and we are so grateful for the care she gave our whole family. We would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for newborn care.

We had the pleasure of having Monica as our postpartum doula after the birth of our second baby. Monica is sweet, caring, and hard working. She supported my feeding goals, whether I wanted her to bring me baby to breastfeed or wanted her to offer baby a bottle so I could get some extra sleep. In addition to helping to care for our newborn, she was a tremendous help with cleaning bottles and pump parts and folding laundry - all the tasks that helped us focus on baby and get some extra sleep. Monica was a big help to us during the postpartum period and we gladly recommend her!

Hello! I'm Vânia, a certified postpartum doula and the founder of The Rested Mama Village. What I do is simple to describe and hard to do well: I take the night, so you can take the morning. For twelve years I've cared for newborns and their families, starting in 2014 with five-day-old twins on an exchange program in the Netherlands, then across England, Austria, New York, and, since 2019, eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I've supported premature twins on their first night home, babies born through surrogacy, NICU graduates, and reflux that keeps a whole household awake. I'm ProDoula certified, DONA International trained, and CPR/First Aid certified. I hold a degree in Social Work from Brazil and I'm currently studying nursing at Bucks County Community College. All families are welcome here: LGBTQ+ families, single parents, families grown through surrogacy. I'm not here to tell you how to parent. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Vania, our certified postpartum doula..She was an absolute godsend during my C-section recovery, providing exceptional care for both our newborn and me. As a certified doula and nursing student, she is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to what she does. She went above and beyond, helping with newborn care, bottle washing, baby laundry, keeping everything tidy, and preparing nutritious meals to support my recovery. She made it possible for me to truly rest and focus on healing, knowing our baby was in the most loving and capable hands. She is responsible, punctual, trustworthy, and genuinely treats your children as her own. We continue to use her for overnights, and our girls are always overjoyed to see her, which speaks volumes about the special bond she has built with them. She is truly a gem, and I would recommend her without hesitation to any family. We are so grateful to have her in our lives!

Hi, my name is Amanda Sands. I’m a mom of three, certified postpartum doula, and the owner of Mama Love Doula, LLC, based in Pennsburg, PA. My doula team and I provide daytime and overnight postpartum support to families throughout Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, and Berks Counties, as well as the Main Line. To me, mothers are the heart of the home. When moms are supported, everything else flows. With the help of a postpartum doula, mothers can rest and heal from childbirth, enjoy nourishing meals without the stress of preparing them, and focus on bonding with their baby—without worrying about cleaning, laundry, or everything else that comes with caring for a newborn. I believe that when mothers receive this kind of care and support, they don’t just get through postpartum—they truly thrive. When I’m not supporting families, you can find me spending time with my kids, snuggling with one of my three cats, listening to music, or getting lost in a good book. I genuinely love to clean (yes, really!), enjoy getting outside for walks and practicing yoga, and I’m always on the go running my kids to their many activities—especially during baseball season! Amanda was our "fairy god-doula!". She was incredibly kind, patient, calm, and was vital to our transition as new parents. Not only did she care for our newborn, but she also made sure we were cared for as well - with nourishing meals, clean laundry, making sure the house was tidy, and giving us time to rest and reset. Her presence made the "newborn trenches", which can be overwhelming to most, a period of comfort and calm in our home. It allowed me to focus on my own recovery and spend quality time with my baby, which I will always cherish. I am so grateful for her services and could not imagine how I would have gotten through that time without her.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Working with Dee the Labor Doula was truly a blessing! From the very first conversation, Dee made me feel comfortable, supported, and understood. She was there every step of the way checking in during my pregnancy, answering my late night questions, and making sure I felt prepared for birth. During labor, Dee was calm, reassuring, and such a strong advocate for me. She helped with breathing, comfort measures, and reminded me of my strength when I started to doubt myself. My partner also felt included and supported, which made the experience even more special for us as a family. Postpartum, Dee continued to check in and provide resources that made the transition into motherhood so much smoother. I can’t thank her enough for her compassion, knowledge, and care. I am delighted to recommend Grace Kovitch as a postpartum doula. Her sweet nature, care and compassion, and knowledge of newborns made her truly invaluable to our family throughout our daughter’s first four months. Her presence allowed our family to rest, recover, and truly enjoy the precious moments with our newborn. From the moment she stepped into our home, Grace provided a calming presence and a great knowledge about newborn care. She not only assisted with practical needs—such as soothing techniques, infant care, and light household tasks—but also provided the emotional support and reassurance that every new parent needs. Her warm and nurturing nature made all the difference during such a transformative time. (We knew she was the perfect fit for our family when our doberman wouldn’t leave her side! He now waits for her every night!) Additionally, her punctuality and reliability show the level of care she possesses for her clients. I wholeheartedly recommend Grace to any family in need of postpartum support. She is an incredible resource, and any family would be beyond lucky to have her by their side during the postpartum journey.

Rachel is an AMAZING provider. A wealth of knowledge coupled with the bedside manner of a saint. I recommend her 1000% to help meet you where you are and walk you through whatever challenge you approach her office with. She is also surrounded by an amazing circle of referral partners so if your particular situation also requires the care of other providers, she is able to point you to the best ones. I particularly remember when I was pregnant with my 2nd baby who's now 1.5y old and Rachel spent over an hour simply asking me questions about me, my own well being and mental health as well as diseccting through my first breastfeeding journey which sadly did not go well and how that had affected me emotionally. Regardless of how my 2nd journey would have unfolded at the time, the fact that she even took the time to ask about the first journey was HUGE. RUNNNN to Rachel's office.

October 2026

Five Stars Isn't Enough for Ms. Riley There are some people who come into your life during your darkest moments and leave a permanent impact. For me, that person was Ms. Riley. I hired Ms. Riley as my NICU Doula while pregnant with my twins, and from the very beginning she was by my side. She was there for my birth, she supported me throughout the entire three months that my twins were in the NICU, and after they were discharged, she continued caring for my babies as our NICU Newborn Care Specialist for an additional three months. In total, Ms. Riley walked alongside my family for six incredibly important months of our journey. What makes her support even more meaningful is the fact that I had no family support system. During my pregnancy, my husband decided to divorce me when I was only four months pregnant with twins. I was facing one of the most difficult seasons of my life, feeling scared, overwhelmed, and alone. Through it all, Ms. Riley was a constant source of support, encouragement, and compassion. Ms. Riley has a way of making every mother feel seen, heard, and cared for. She affectionately calls us her "baby mothers," and I have to admit, that always made me laugh during a time when I desperately needed something to smile about. It may seem like a small thing, but her ability to bring comfort, humor, and warmth into difficult situations is truly a gift. She consistently went above and beyond for me and my twins. Whether it was providing guidance, emotional support, newborn care expertise, or simply being present when I needed someone most, she showed up every single time. I never felt judged, rushed, or alone. Instead, I felt supported, empowered, and capable as a first-time mother navigating an unexpected and challenging journey. Ms. Riley, it is so clear that this is your calling. The love, dedication, patience, and commitment you bring to your families cannot be taught. You have a rare gift, and I truly believe doors will continue to open for you because of the impact you have on the lives of mothers and babies. We need more people like you, not only in newborn care but throughout the healthcare industry as a whole. I will absolutely be booking Ms. Riley's services again when I'm ready to return to work, even though I work remotely, because the peace of mind she provides is priceless. I am giving Ms. Riley five stars, but honestly, stars don't come close to describing how she made me feel. If you truly understand what a halo represents, then that's what she deserves: unlimited halos. Thank you, Ms. Riley, for helping me survive and thrive during one of the hardest and most beautiful chapters of my life. I will be forever grateful.
