My name is Nia Rose, I am a WHOLElistic doula where I take into consideration the whole (spiritual, mental, physical and emotional) aspect of pregnancy and birth. My practice evolves around meeting my clients wherever they are at and being alongside them as they journey into parenthood. I hired Nia Nchami as a doula for the birth of my second daughter in 2022. After an initial conversation via email, she came to our house and really listened to my concerns, fears and hopes for my delivery. She took extensive notes and created a birth plan that truly encapsulated what I wanted for the birth. We stayed in contact for several months and talked more frequently as my due day neared. When the day came, she was a force of nature. She kept me calm and confident. She helped me to navigate the birthing process. But most importantly, advocated for me with my doctors, nurses and healthcare staff to ensure that I received the best care. I can truly say that I had a much better experience giving birth than the first time and Nia was a big reason why. She is extremely professional, but also calm and caring. I’m so glad that I found her!

When should I hire a doula?
You can reach out at any point during pregnancy. Ideally, connecting earlier gives us more time to get to know each other and prepare for your birth, but it’s never too late to ask about availability.
Do you support hospital births, birth centers, and home births?
Yes. I support clients across different birth settings and can help you prepare for the type of birth you’re planning.
Do you support C-sections?
Yes. Doulas can provide valuable support before, during, and after a planned or unplanned C-section, including emotional support, comfort measures, advocacy, and postpartum guidance.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes! I am a Pennsylvania Medicaid-enrolled doula and accept Medicaid for eligible services. Reach out to discuss eligibility, coverage, and the process for getting started.
Do you accept private insurance?

What services do you provide?

Will you be with me throughout my entire labor?
For clients receiving birth support, I provide continuous labor support once we determine that it is time for me to join you, according to the terms of your service agreement.
