Hi, my name is Amanda Sands. I am a certified postpartum doula and owner of Mama Love Doula, LLC in Pennsburg, PA. My doula team and I support parents in Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, & Berks Counties, and the Main Line, PA. To me, mothers are the heart of the home. When moms are supported, everything else flows. With the help of a postpartum doula, mothers can rest and heal from childbirth, enjoy nourishing meals without the stress of preparing them, and focus on bonding with their baby—without worrying about cleaning or endless laundry. I believe that when mothers receive this kind of care, they don’t just get through postpartum—they truly thrive. In my spare time, you can find me spending time with my kids, snuggling with one of my three cats, listening to music, or reading a good book. I also genuinely love to clean (yes, really!), get outside for walks, practice yoga, and stay busy running my kids to all of their activities—especially during baseball season! I would truly be honored to support you and your family during your postpartum journey ❤️

Daytime support is designed to help you feel confident, cared for, and never alone during the early days with your baby. Whether you're adjusting to a new routine or simply need an extra set of hands, your doula is there to provide calm, steady support throughout the day. Overnight care is thoughtfully designed to help you get the deep, restorative sleep your body needs during the postpartum period. While you rest, your doula provides attentive, one-on-one care for your baby—creating a calm and nurturing environment throughout the night.
Amanda was our "fairy god-doula!". She was incredibly kind, patient, calm, and was vital to our transition as new parents. Not only did she care for our newborn, but she also made sure we were cared for as well - with nourishing meals, clean laundry, making sure the house was tidy, and giving us time to rest and reset. Her presence made the "newborn trenches", which can be overwhelming to most, a period of comfort and calm in our home. It allowed me to focus on my own recovery and spend quality time with my baby, which I will always cherish. I am so grateful for her services and could not imagine how I would have gotten through that time without her.

We feel so lucky to have found Amanda to nanny our baby girls. We have hired her twice to stay home with our daughters from newborn to 12 months. Amanda is extremely knowledgeable of newborn and infant care. She is reliable, professional and takes over seamlessly. Our daughters have bonded with her and adore their time together. She provides a fun and loving environment for them. Amanda has also provided me with support and an overall feeling of relief on the days she is here! We can’t thank Amanda enough and would highly recommend her to any family!

Where do I even start? We had an incredible experience with Amanda as our postpartum doula and truly can’t recommend her enough. If I were insane, I would have 10 more babies just to have Amanda come back to us each time! During such a vulnerable and exhausting time, she brought a sense of calm, reassurance, and genuine care into our home. She is extremely knowledgeable and reliable, a true baby whisperer. She supported us in so many meaningful ways -- from baby care to meal prep and light laundry to tidying up and making sure I was actually able to rest and recover. Those small but essential things made a huge difference in our day-to-day lives as second-time parents. She also made it possible for me to prioritize spending one-on-one time with our toddler, who had a somewhat difficult sibling transition and needed my support and attention more than ever. I felt completely at ease knowing our newborn was in safe and nurturing hands. Amanda wasn't just a doula; she was also our toddler's favorite playmate! During moments when I needed a break or when I wanted to spend time with my newborn, she switched roles and did activities with our toddler. I am also an exclusively pumping mama, and I honestly don’t think I would have made it this far in my pumping journey without her. Not only did she provide encouragement, guidance, and steady support, she made sure I was able to stay on schedule, which is critical when exclusively pumping. What stood out most about Amanda is her strong and dedicated work ethic, adaptability, and non-judgmental approach to childcare. She truly met us where we were and made us feel -- and still makes us feel -- supported and confident every step of the way. She adapts to whatever parenting style best suits each family, whether that is tracking every little thing your baby does or just going with the baby's flow and cues. We’re so grateful for her and would absolutely recommend her to any family looking for postpartum support. Ditch the baby registry; create a postpartum doula fund, instead! It truly does take a village, and we are so happy Amanda has been part of ours! - The Chaponis Family

Where do I begin?! Amanda was everything I was looking for and more! I knew the minute I spoke with her on the phone, she was a great fit for my family and I. She was warm, genuine, professional, and caring. When she came to visit initially, we instantly bonded. I loved how organized she was, how she interacted with my children, and how she was willing to help with anything I needed. She made us delicious meals, snacks, etc. and always made sure I was taken care of since I was breastfeeding a lot of the time. Amanda was even willing to come to two of my doctor appts with me to help with my newborn. One of my favorite things about Amanda was that she was always there to listen to me, give me any advice I needed, and was truly like a friend to me since sometimes postpartum can be a lonely time. I can’t say enough about Amanda and my experience. We miss her and still talk about “Miss Amanda” to this day. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Hiring Amanda was one of the best decisions my husband and I made after our second son was born. We were concerned about managing things at home when he went back to work. Amanda was such a huge help around the house and spent extra time with our older son when I was feeding the baby or getting him down for a nap. I felt so much less stressed having her support with meal prep, cleaning up around the house, and caring for the boys while I got some much needed rest.

Hiring Amanda as our night nanny/overnight postpartum doula was easiest the best decision we made to prepare for the arrival of our baby! As first time parents, the idea of letting someone take care of our newborn was nerve wracking at first, however once meeting Amanda and knowing her background, we were immediately at ease. She took such great care of our baby girl overnight, letting mom and dad get as much sleep as possible (which is more than you think, even while breastfeeding!) Amanda is kind, professional and knowledgeable; I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her for any of your postpartum needs!

I don't think enough people know that postpartum doulas exist, but I sincerely hope that changes as time goes on. For those that do know, and are looking for one you can trust, rely on, enjoy time with, and feel so supported by: Amanda is the one! Combining her years of being a devoted mama herself with her years of nannying, she has such a thorough understanding of how to take care of moms and their babies. Our family was able to truly thrive right from the start thanks to her services. I don't even like saying "services" because the entire experience felt so much more warm and personal than that. She started every morning by checking in with me and genuinely asking how I was and what I needed. Amanda brings a positive but gentle and calm vibe to her sessions. She navigates a new environment with ease and settles right in to her tasks. Make sure you take her up on her cooking! Being nourished made a huge difference for me postpartum and I loved getting to try new recipes from her binder. Our son came two and a half weeks early but Amanda accommodated our new time line happily. When my husband had to return to work after the first week, she even offered to go with me to my first postpartum chiropractor appointment so that I'd have extra hands with my baby. She brought flowers on the first and last days, and left the sweetest card at the end. Amanda, thank you so much for being a major part of our team. We love you!
