I plan to give birth at a hospital but am feeling nervous due to my first birth experience. I had a terrible experience with the nurses and did not feel comfortable with the decisions made during birth. I want to avoid medical intervention as much as possible and I need someone to advocate for me. I would like natural options for progressing labor and pain management before considering drugs. I am currently on Medicaid.

Looking for an affordable doula that can provide support when going in to labor, helping me figure out when to go to the hospital, support while in labor at Rose Hospital, and maybe a few check ins postpartum too. My birth plan is to try to do it naturally with as few interventions as possible but also open to an epidural in case I'm suffering. I don't want too rigid of a plan because I know things can change quickly. Estimated budget: $1000 with postpartum support

Planning to give birth at St. Joe's Hospital in Denver. Didn't have a birth doula with first baby and want a different experience this time. Was hoping for a natural (vaginal, unmedicated) birth last time. Was able to do vaginal but not unmedicated. I plan to give birth at Rose Hospital and I would like to use my Cigna Insurance. I am looking mostly for a post partum doula that does night nurse options. I do not have a birth plan but I plan to have a medicated vaginal birth if possible.

I plan to give birth at st Anthony and hope to have a vbac. I am looking to see if I can find someone in network with health first Colorado. I am I interested in a doula however I have no idea what kind of support they provide or at what point in your pregnancy to start seeing one. I do not have a full birth plan yet and never made one with my daughter.

We are planning to birth at a birth center (still touring which one). We will have a backup option at a hospital. I'm hoping to stay right at or under 1,000 for the doula. Hoping to interview a handful of doulas and find the right fit. My hope is to meet in person more than once before giving birth, if possible. My husband is excited to be involved. I am a planner, I like details and back up plans, but also know that an open mind is necessary for this process. I'm open to various levels of experience, I just want someone that has been a part of all the different types of birth and ways it can go -- as well someone that believes in and has helped women achieve unmedicated birth.
