Hi! I’m Ashlie. I’ve been photographing the cute, precious, magical, hilarious, and awe inspiring moments of infanthood and childhood for seven years. I’m continuously awed by the natural miracle of babies, especially their sweet rosy cheeks, tiny toes, and chubby baby rolls. Documenting these moments for you and your family in an authentic and natural way is my passion. I specialize in maternity, newborn and family photography.

I specialize in Maternity, Newborn and Family Photography. I believe your portrait experience is about more than me just showing up and snapping some photos of you. I have created a luxury experience designed to walk you through the entire process including, styling the whole family, pampering before your session, a fun and smooth session, and helping you design artwork and albums with your images so you can enjoy them forever.

Frequently asked questions

When should I book my session?

For family sessions the answer is whenever you want to! I typically book about 3-6 months out, so the earlier you reach out the better! When considering maternity & newborn photography, I recommend reaching out in your second trimester. Maternity photos are best done during weeks 32-37 and Newborn photos are best done in those first 5-14 days after birth.

Will you help us figure out what to wear?

Absolutely! My goal is to make your portrait experience as stress-free as possible. After you complete the booking process we'll set up a zoom planning call to discuss outfits for the entire family. I also have a feminine wardrobe with over 50 dresses and a baby wardrobe for sizes 3-12 months. Together, we'll make sure everyone looks and feels their best for the photo session.

Will you help us with hair & makeup?

Yes, I will connect you with my hair and make-up artist, who you can book directly. She is amazing and will pamper you a bit before your session helping you to look and feel your best!

Where do photo sessions happen?

Newborn sessions take place at my home studio in SE Portland. Maternity & milestone sessions can either take place at my home studio or at my favorite outdoor location which is about 10 minutes from the studio. We can chat more about this when you book. Family sessions take place outdoors at my favorite natural area which is located about 10 minutes from my studio.

How long do sessions last?

A typical portrait session lasts anywhere between 30 min. to 1 hour. Newborn portrait sessions take anywhere between 2-4 hours depending on how baby is doing. I allow for more time than might be needed in case baby needs extra feedings, diaper changes, or some snuggles. Following all of my suggestions on how to get a sleepy baby typically allows us to get the session done in 2 hours.
