I recently moved to west Jefferson and have not been having the most positive experience with my OB-GYNs in terms of education and understanding. I am wondering what having a doula looks like/cost/possible insurance coverage. This is my first pregnancy and I need additional support and education.

I’m hoping to give birth at Tripoint Hospital in Concord. I’m willing to spend $1,500 but it would be nice if someone accepted Buckeye Medicaid so it wouldn’t come out of pocket. I’d really like a Christian Doula. I’d like no epidural and for my husband to be there with me. While giving birth I’d like to play soft music and read/listen to Bible verses. Delayed cord clamping, an hour of time with the baby after birth unless there is a medical emergency. I’d like the baby to stay in my hospital room and if they need to leave for testing I’d like if me or my husband would go with them.

I’m looking for a doula to be at the hospital with me for birth. Someone who can care for me and knows how to help manage the pain/contractions while keeping a nice calm mood. We love someone who can joke and is very open. I plan to have my 3rd unmedicated birth. No epidural is always the goal (I feel much better postpartum without getting the epidural). I’m not sure how much a doula usually is.

Hello, I plan to give birth university hospital Geauga medical center in Chardon, Ohio. This will be my second birth and my goal this time around is for a much more natural & holistic birth experience. I hope to have a spontaneous, low intervention, physiological birth and am looking for a doula to stand by me & my husband to advocate alongside us during delivery.
