Painful latch , issues breastfeeding, sore nipples

First-time mom planning a hospital birth at Pomona Valley Hospital and looking for a birth/postpartum doula with a practical, evidence-based approach. I would like support during pregnancy with education, preparing for labor, helping me understand my options, and creating a birth plan/preferences document. During labor, I’m looking for someone calm and supportive who can help me advocate for myself, ask questions, and help me process decisions without pressure unless medically necessary. Postpartum support is my biggest priority. I would like help with recovery, breastfeeding/pumping support, newborn guidance, emotional reassurance, and preparing to return to work as an [personal details hidden]. I am hoping to breastfeed/pump and would value someone knowledgeable about lactation and pumping for working moms. I am open to holistic approaches as long as they are grounded in research and evidence-based care. I am not looking for an anti-medical approach and am comfortable with hospital care and interventions when medically necessary. I would prefer someone experienced with first-time moms and familiar with Pomona Valley Hospital or the surrounding area (La Verne/Claremont/Upland/Pomona).

First baby - hoping for low interventions and unmedicated. Not sure if I am ready to commit to unmedicated though. Either way, I'd like to stay unmedicated as long as possible/as long as is safe. I know very little about labor/birth and have been afraid of it for a while. I'd like someone who is well versed in physical support, and of course mental/emotional support and birth education. I have somewhat of a distrust of doctors and want someone who knows the data on when things are necessary, and when things are not necessary. My husband is pretty squeamish and he may need some mental support too. I am a patient of the midwives at Orange Coast Womens Medical Group and I plan to give birth at HOAG Irvine. I am looking for a birth doula, a lactation consultant, and possibly a postpartum doula. I live in Fullerton, CA - looking for in person services.

I need help with pumping and finding my flange size I feel like with every flange size I try I have to pull back on my breast while pumping so the milk can come out

we have been trying to transition our 4+mo breastfed baby to one bottle for a few weeks with little to no success and seeking some expertise. She did take a bottle at 2mo a few times when offered. We’ve tried different bottles flows warming/cold positions environments etc with different people offering (myself husband and doula). When she does allow the bottle in her mouth she has trouble latching, or may begin fussing and crying. She often makes a yucky face but will try again. She seems to prefer the nipple and milk warmed. Hi! I’m reaching out because I’ve been exclusively pumping using stimulation mode on my Motif wearable pump for the past 4 months. I have inverted nipples, my milk supply is low and both my nipples and areola get pulled into the flange while pumping. I recently tried expression mode and I have some pain during it. I’m wondering if I may have elastic nipples, if my flange size is incorrect, or if I’m using my pump properly.
