Looking for assistance with a home birth . I am open to a water birth as well. I have no insurance so i will be paying out of pocket. My budget is $5,000- $7,000 but i am flexible. I am a trans man. I am seeking a birth doula who is invested in supporting trans pregnancy and the many complications of experiencing dysphoria in pregnancy, and supporting my needs as a trans parent through the birthing process. Additionally, I have hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis, and persistent proteinuria and am seeing a high risk doctor for my birth. I would like to have a non-c-section in the hospital setting with my MFM practice, and be supported in my needs as a gestational parent and birthing person. Also I would like a doula who is equipped to support my wife as non-gestational parent and new queer parents. We have dealt with loss (she had an early miscarriage when we TTC'd earlier in life) and this has impacted my experience of pregnancy as well. I plan to give birth at NYU Langone.
