Greetings, My partner Chris and I are just starting our search for a birth doula. This will be our first baby and I have had a healthy pregnancy so far. I'm planning to give birth at Kaiser Oakland with an epidural. I would love to find a doula who has experience with Kaiser and billing as I understand that doulas could be covered by Kaiser. We are still very open minded about birth plan and hope to create this with support of a doula. What I do know is that I would be giving birth in a hospital setting, am 40 yo, this is my first childbirth, in support of an epidural, would like to avoid c-section. Help with positioning during labor, and someone who could normalize birthing for a first time mommy would be ideal!

I’m looking for medical and emotional/spiritual support before and during birth, and support with feeding and just general questions post-birth. I would prefer an at-home birth but I am open to a birthing center. I am 37 and will be 38 at the time of birth and I’ll be a first-time mother. Hello, I was looking for a doula that was at least partially covered by Kaiser, Northern California. I was hoping to receive some prenatal, labor and delivery, and potentially some postpartum care (ideally more time that is alloted from Kaiser, and willing to pay out of pocket for the additional hours).
