I plan to give birth at a hospital. I’m open to pricing conversations. This is my first time as a mom so I don’t know where to begin with budget talks. I want to labor at home as long as I can with support before going to the hospital to reduce interventions that are unnecessary. I want to try my best not to have an epidural. I want to be free to be in different positions to help the baby move through. Afterwards i don’t want to be rushed to cut the umbilical cord or have them push on my stomach to force the placenta out. I want it to happen naturally and if interventions are needed that’s the only time I want to consider. I do want to try my best to breastfeed but I don’t want to strictly nurse. I’m interested in pumping and possibly combo feeding.

I will be giving birth in a hospital. However, I don’t have a birth plan yet. Which is one of the reason I would like a doula. As for a budget, I was hoping someone would take insurance or would be able to work thangs out through my insurance.

Hello — I hope this note finds you well! My husband and I are thrilled to be welcoming twins via surrogate in the Rockford area soon — our induction date is 4/6 but, of course, they might arrive sooner. We realize this is quite last-minute, but we would be interested in overnight care for the first week or so once they’re back from the hospital. (We then fly home to SF.) Do you have any availability in the next 1-3 weeks (we won’t yet know how soon they’ll come or if they need NICU time, of course)? Hello! My wife and I are looking for a postpartum doula for support in those early few weeks after I give birth (due Dec. 10) since we live far from family and other supports. Types of help we’re interested in includes physical care (e.g. food/snacks, hydration), light household care (e.g. tidying), emotional support, and support/tips for infant care.

First pregnancy. Will be giving birth in hospital. Estimated budget of $1000-1500. Birth plan would be to stay as natural as possible, but not opposed to medical needs like an epidural if I decide I want one. Whether that be through breathing techniques, deferred sensation like a birth comb, water, etc. Want to avoid a C-section unless emergency demands it. Delayed cord clamp and immediate skin to skin as long as not an emergency. Want to try breastfeeding, and pumping, but not opposed to formula if needed.

This is my third pregnancy. My first two were delivered via c-sections with Dr. Ware at memorial hospital. I planned a natural birth with my first but developed preeclampsia towards the end which called for a C-section after the pitocin disturbed her heart rate. The second pregnancy I didn’t want a c-section but towards the end the doctor suggested that it would be the best route due to the history of my first pregnancy. With this pregnancy she announced that c-section would be the plan again but I would really like to see if I’m able to do a natural birth. I’m not high risk for anything. And my blood pressure is okay.
