As first-time parents, we are looking for a knowledgeable, supportive doula to guide us through childbirth and the postpartum period. Mom is Black and has growing fears due to the alarming maternal health disparities that impact Black women, and is also concerned about the potential for postpartum depression. Dad is white and eager to learn, but doesn’t yet know much about the birth process. We are both seeking someone who can help us feel empowered, educated, and supported—emotionally, physically, and mentally. Ideally, we’d love a doula who is culturally sensitive, affirming, and experienced in supporting families navigating birth and early parenthood with compassion and care We plan to give birth at St. Elizabeth’s in Enumclaw, WA, we would like to keep our budget around $1000. We don’t have an official birth plan. But plan for IV meds MAYBE and epidural but wanting to hold off on that.

Iam not sure what it is exactly that I am looking for other than advice and direction given this is my first time completing a pregnancy and having a baby full term. I suffer from severe anxiety and trauma and childhood phobias. I am delayed on receiving the help and long overdue. I am feeling overwhelmed and in desperate need of help.

I am a single mother currently in Vancouver, Washington, and would like to give birth at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital. I would love to have a home birth, but it’s not within my budget. Therefore, I am utilizing my insurance. I’ve been told that Sunnyside Kaiser location allows for less invasive birth. I’m not fully certain, but I think I would like to have an unmedicated birth and implement things like delayed cord clamping. Since the father and I are not together, and he has a really busy schedule, I would like to feel supported in the birth room and have someone by my side who is knowledgeable and who I can trust and can advocate for me and my baby and my preferences. I haven’t yet come up with a budget, although currently finances are a struggle so I’m looking for something feasible and affordable I am a first time mom currently four months pregnant.

I want to plan a home birth but if I end up with hospital it’s okay. Being at home seems more comfortable. A estimated budget I’m not to sure how this all works as I am a first time mom. Still trying to figure out a birth plan.

We are in search of a part-time nanny for our week-old baby girl, Morgan. We are hoping to have someone to help with feeding/changing/soothing two to three times per week for 2-3 hours at a time.
