I’m a first-time mom due in early November 2026 and planning a hospital birth at Mount Sinai West in NYC. I’m looking for an experienced, certified birth and postpartum doula for pregnancy, labor, birth, and daytime postpartum support (no overnight care). I have Cigna Open Access Plus (CGHB), and Cigna has confirmed my doula benefit, so I’m looking for a provider who can bill Cigna directly. I plan to breastfeed and would appreciate breastfeeding and newborn support.

I am expecting mono-di twins and will have 12 weeks of maternity leave. My husband is unable to take time off, so I will be the primary caregiver and am looking for part-time daytime support throughout my leave. I am seeking a doula with direct experience supporting families with twins or multiples, and ideally a Newborn Care Specialist certification. Breastfeeding/lactation support is also a priority, as nursing twins presents unique challenges I want to feel prepared for. Care recipients are newborn twins (mono-di, so higher-needs monitoring in the early weeks). I plan to give birth at NYU with Downtown Women. We are hoping to find doula covered by our insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield but if there are additional services requiring payment that is also ok. This is my first time pregnancy and I don’t have a plan for delivery yet.
