I plan to give birth at UVA in Charlottesville, Virginia. I would like a Doula to meet me in my home before I go into the hospital. I’m in Piney River, Virginia, which is 45 minutes to an hour from Charlottesville. I would like to labor as long as possible at home to need somebody who can help me to labor at home, but to know when to go in to the hospital, I would like a natural low intervention birth. I would like somebody to help me with breathing in different massages and pain coping mechanisms for labor I would like somebody to advocate for me at the hospital for the things that I find important. It may not be able to stand up for while laboring and delivering. And do not have a budget at this time

I plan to give birth at the hospital. My budget is $10,000, I would love a doula that works with insurances. My birth plan so far is, I want to go unmedicated if possible, I want a doula who can speak up for me when needed and know what to do, I have a hard time speaking up for myself, especially around medical people. I am very flexible in my birthing location. I would like to do a birthing center, but a hospital would be okay as well, if needed. I do want to be able to get an epidural if the pain becomes overwhelming. I am not sure on my exact budget, as I am not sure the average prices for a doula or midwife.
