|
Location: Hattiesburg, MS 39402, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: January 24, 2026
I plan to give birth at a hospital. I’m open to pricing conversations. This is my first time as a mom so I don’t know where to begin with budget talks. I want to labor at home as long as I can with support before going to the hospital to reduce interventions that are unnecessary. I want to try my best not to have an epidural. I want to be free to be in different positions to help the baby move through. Afterwards i don’t want to be rushed to cut the umbilical cord or have them push on my stomach to force the placenta out. I want it to happen naturally and if interventions are needed that’s the only time I want to consider. I do want to try my best to breastfeed but I don’t want to strictly nurse. I’m interested in pumping and possibly combo feeding. |

Heather is looking for Birth Doula
|
Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: April 28, 2026
Giving birth in Fredericksburg, Virginia (Mary Washington Hospital.) EDD is 4/28/26 but I am AMA and have been told they won't let me go past 39 weeks, which would be delivery around 4/21. It is the first birth for both me and my husband. I have gestational diabetes but it is fully diet controlled and I've been given no indication that I'll need to be induced earlier or have a c-section. I am hopeful to go spontaneously before needing to be induced, because I really want to avoid an epidural (I don't mind other pain meds, but I do not want to be numb), and I've heard that being induced makes it much more likely you'll need an epidural. We've done all of our birth classes already (labor and delivery, breastfeeding, home with baby) so mostly looking for delivery support at this point. Never thought about using a doula until this last week or so, which is why I'm a little late to the game! |

Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: May 13, 2026
Due Date: May 2026 Partner & Support Person: Husband Hospital/Birth Center: Mary Washington Hospital OB/Midwife: __________________ Pediatrician: __________________ ⸻ Labor Environment • I would like a dark, quiet room with soft meditation music (playlist: https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/gisels-labor-playlist/pl.u-jV89BGWFdJGxP9). • My husband will provide massage and emotional support throughout labor. • Please limit unnecessary talking to maintain a calm environment. ⸻ Comfort & Movement I plan to use natural pain coping methods first: • Breathing techniques • Movement and positioning (not bed-bound if possible) • Massage and counter-pressure from my partner • Birthing ball • Warm shower or tub • Heat/cold packs • Visualization and calming music • Essential oils if allowed by hospital If pain becomes too intense to manage naturally, I request an epidural without delay. Continuous support from my partner is very important. ⸻ Pushing & Delivery • I would like to push from my diaphragm with calm, controlled guidance. • I want the freedom to push in different positions (hands-and-knees, squatting, side-lying, etc.) for comfort and effective delivery. • I would like my husband to cut the cord. ⸻ After Birth – Mom Care • I would like my placenta delivered naturally, assisted if needed. • Please inform me before postpartum interventions. • I do not wish to keep my placenta. • Post-delivery support if available: • Latch support • Bleeding/uterus check with explanation • Recovery care guidance ⸻ After Birth – Baby Care • Delayed cord clamping until cord stops pulsing or for at least 2–3 minutes if medically safe. • Immediate skin-to-skin if possible. • Breastfeeding within the first hour if possible; no pacifiers or bottles unless medically needed. • Newborn eye ointment and vitamin K: apply after skin-to-skin and first breastfeeding session if safe. • First bath delayed 12–24 hours to preserve vernix and support bonding, temperature regulation, and breastfeeding if safe. • Measurements and birth weight after skin-to-skin and first breastfeeding session if baby is stable. ⸻ Visitors & Communication • Only husband + one support person (Mom) allowed during active labor and delivery. • After birth care, grandparents may visit: • Noel Sanders-Williams • Nathan Williams • Tyneasha Banks • Larry Banks • I prefer clear, calm explanations from staff. ⸻ Medical Interventions I would like to avoid interventions unless medically necessary: • IV: Only if medically necessary • Continuous fetal monitoring: Only if required • Induction: Only if medically recommended • Artificial rupture of membranes: Avoid unless needed • Episiotomy: Avoid unless absolutely necessary • Forceps/Vacuum: Only if medically required • C-section: I want to be fully informed and involved in the decision I understand interventions may be needed for my or my baby’s safety and trust my care team to discuss them with me. In case of unexpected C-section: • I would like my partner to stay with me if allowed. • Skin-to-skin and breastfeeding support as soon as possible after surgery. |

Brittany is looking for Postpartum Doula, OB-GYN, Birth Doula
|
Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: August 04, 2026
Status: 21 Weeks | First Pregnancy Insurance: United FAMIS Moms (Medicaid) Location: Stafford, VA I am 21 weeks into a high-risk pregnancy and am looking for a new doula to join my care team. After waiting 10 years for this miracle, I’ve spent this pregnancy navigating some very difficult hurdles and I’m really looking forward to finally having some peace and consistent support. My Journey So Far: Medical & Career Hurdles: Early delays in my medical care made it impossible to get work accommodations in time, which unfortunately led to me being fired. The "Shuffling" Challenge: I’ve seen 4 different doctors plus the ER since January. I’m often sent for labs without getting to discuss the results with the same provider. This lack of continuity is causing a lot of physical stress, and I’m looking for someone to help me stabilize this process. Communication Needs: I am transitioning from my current doula because I’ve realized I need a more "hands-on" style of communication. A 3-4 day wait for a reply has been difficult for me; I’m hoping to find someone who can check in more regularly and help me tackle specific tasks as they come up. What I’m Looking For in a Doula: A True Advocate: Someone to help me feel heard in the medical system and ensure my care plan is consistent. Goal-Oriented Support: I’m looking for someone who enjoys the "resource" side of birth work—helping find solutions for things like housing transitions, move-out volunteers, and medical coordination. Mandatory Requirements: Insurance: Please be a credentialed provider with United FAMIS Moms. I am unable to pay out-of-pocket at this time. Platform Messaging: Please message me here on BornBir so I can keep my notifications in one place! |

Megan is looking for Birth Doula

Location: McBee, SC 29101, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: October 31, 2026
Id ideally like to give birth in the hospital just incase. Budget maybe $3000 Birth plan... currently non existent. I had a very traumatic birth of our first child. And was rushed, lied to and forced into procedures and stuff that I didnt know what they were and ended up having an emergency c section.... I dont want any of that to happen this time. I want a vbac hopefully. And as naturally as possible. But with the back up of being in a hospital already should anything go wrong. |

Shanci is looking for Midwife, Birth Doula, Lactation Consultant

Location: Dalmatia, PA 17017, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: March 27, 2026
I’ve had 3 miscarriages in the last 5 years. My fourth pregnancy, 2 years ago was a healthy, full term baby who is now 2 and doing amazing with no complications during my pregnancy or my delivery. I’m now 21 weeks pregnant with my second son and my experience with UPMC has been nothing but stressful and uninformative. My charts have yet to be corrected for the last 2- 3 months I’ve been going to them. I’m at the point where I don’t feel like my doctors are listening or caring about my wishes/concerns. I am starting to lean towards a home birth with minimal intervention. With my son I got to 9 1/2 cm dilated before I got my epidural last minute and had no issues or barely any discomfort with my contractions. This one is a bit more uncomfortable and I would like to try to do the same as before but without medicine. I have no issue going to a birthing center if need be, I know the travel home with my last hurt me a lot so I was hoping to minimize the distance of travel for my second time around. I also had issues with my son latching for breastfeeding and went to see a lactation consultant twice but she took over an hour to come see us each time which resulted in my son screaming of hunger so I would end up bottle feeding him before she’d come as she took too long and then refused to help us when she heard he was bottle fed so I would like to learn more about breastfeeding if possible either through classes or having someone help me after birth. Our budget is probably $2500-4000. I’m not sure what my insurance covers but would love to look into it more with someone if we can. I’m at the point where I don’t trust my current providers, as too much has gone wrong or missed and I just want to cancel all appointments until I give birth so I’m hoping this is a better alternative for me. |

Due date or baby's birthday: June 24, 2026
I will be giving birth and Sentara hospital in Woodbridge. I would like to attempt an unmendicated VBAC (previous C-section because of placenta Previa). I am not sure how much doula services cost so I don’t know what my budget is. Ideally, I would like to have as little intervention as possible during labor and birth. I know things can change quickly so ultimately I want a healthy baby and a safe delivery. |

|
Location: Falls Church, VA 22042, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: January 19, 2026
I’m currently looking for a doula and would love to connect with someone who feels like the right fit for this very special moment. I’m relatively new to the U.S., and I don’t have my family with me, so finding someone who can offer emotional support and a comforting presence is really important to me. Speaking Spanish would be a big plus, as it helps me feel more grounded and connected during such an intimate experience. I will be giving birth at a hospital, and my birth plan is still evolving. I trust that my body knows what to do, and I’m leaning toward a natural and intuitive approach, while staying flexible depending on how everything unfolds. My budget is open for discussion, and I’d love to learn more about your packages and what they include. Photography is not a requirement, but it would be a beautiful extra if you're someone who enjoys capturing special moments—having a few meaningful photos of the experience would feel very special to me. If you feel we might be a good match, I’d love to chat and hear more about your work and philosophy! |
