First baby, planning for a hospital birth at MGH in Boston. Hoping to find someone who accepts BCBS insurance (supposedly I have doula coverage). My goal is a vaginal delivery, I am leaning towards an epidural, but willing to see how things progress. Budget $2,000. “ Doula services are covered for both home and hospital births. The coverage limit is $2,000 per rolling 9-month period, starting when the first claim is received. Coverage is subject to clinical appropriateness and is applied at the in-network level; out-of-network providers are paid up to the in-network level.”
We’re expecting our first baby, due late December / early January- 12/31, and we’re looking for an experienced, certified Newborn Care Specialist for overnight support starting when we come home from the hospital. We live in [personal details hidden] in Boston. Schedule: 2-3 nights a week, about 10pm–7am for roughly 6 weeks. Because of the due date, the start date needs some flexibility, and we’ll need coverage through the holidays. Feeding: We plan to breastfeed. We’d like the baby brought to mom for night feeds, with a pumped bottle for one feed so she can get a longer stretch of sleep. Lactation experience is a plus. Sleep goals: We’d like help building healthy sleep habits and gradually lengthening night stretches, always following AAP safe-sleep guidelines. As first-time parents, we’d really value someone who teaches us along the way, including a quick morning handoff on how the night went. Must-haves: Newborn care training (NCSA or INA-recognized) Current infant CPR and First Aid Recent family references Up-to-date Tdap, flu, and COVID vaccines A backup plan if you’re sick Comfortable with a senior dog in the home

Plan to give birth at Winchester Hospital. Having my first baby and hoping to have a low-intervention vaginal birth. I'm still considering/learning about specific plan details. I'm more nervous about feeling rushed or pressured by hospital staff than I am nervous about birth itself, and I'm looking for someone to advocate for and support the experience I want to have within a hospital setting.

Hi! I’m expecting my third baby in March 2027 and am looking for a postpartum doula in the Saugus/North Shore area. I’m especially interested in overnight newborn support during the first several weeks postpartum so I can prioritize recovery and sleep while also caring for my two older children. I’m planning a C-section. I have MassHealth and am specifically looking for a provider who accepts MassHealth for postpartum services. I’d love to know what postpartum/overnight support you offer, your availability around March, whether overnight hours can be billed to MassHealth, and your rates for any hours not covered by insurance. Thank you!
