im looking for guidance on lactation in regards to pumping and breastfeeding.

I am a first time mom that will be home with this baby myself. Most of the time as my husband will be working. I need advice on postpartum care with the baby and breast-feeding. I’m not really sure I know what to do is I do not have a birth plan at this time. My doctor kind of told me I don’t need one. I have not taken any classes yet.

I need to know if my baby is latching correctly. Not every time but, Sometimes when he feeds he gets fussy, he unlatches and cries; it can be difficult to feed him again until i calm him down. Not sure if its gas or if he isnt eating.

I would like help with getting my baby to stay latched on especially at night. He tends to fall asleep quickly when I try to breastfeed him. The feeds have been taking a long time and burping him after has been difficult.

I feel like I’m not producing enough she seems really hungry at night after being on breast all day. In the first week- 2 weeks I was pumping enough to make a small stash.
