I plan on giving birth at SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt Vernon, IL. I need a lactation consultant who accepts IL Medicaid. I was induced with my previous baby at 37 weeks due to cholestasis, and don’t have much of a plan with this one other than to have a vaginal birth. My previous experience with breastfeeding was awful, so I was to set myself up for success this time around.

I want my 6-week old evaluated for ties. She has a bad latch that started off fine. I’m concerned about transfer.. so would like to do a weight review before and after feed. She is clicking and will not open wide generally. If she does she slides down to just the nipples shortly after. She is frustrated I’m frustrated

Baby and mom are struggling with a pain free breastfeeding experience. Baby is having a hard time getting a deep full latch. Baby is also falling asleep at the breast while only feeding for a few minutes.

I am giving birth at Vanderbilt birth center in Nashville, this is my second child and I was unsuccessful with breast-feeding my first. I could not get him to latch and my midwife did not help me and nor did I have a lactation consultant so I ended up exclusively pumping. I want to exclusively breast-feed with this baby.

Lactation consultant to help resume breast feeding. Baby did great in the hospital at latching but my milk didn’t come in until after I got home and she would refuse breast so I gave her bottles. I’ve been pumping and have a great supply but the mental load of being hooked up to a pump is draining me. I do work 45 hours a week so I only feed baby at night time. Would like to see if I could start breastfeeding at home. Would need to be covered through insurance, United healthcare and Iowa total care. Could also help with sleep, baby still wakes up every 3 hours at night and I’m exausted.

I plan to give birth at a hospital in Nashville. Since our insurance does not cover a doula our estimated budget is $1000. I am not sure exactly what my birth plan will be. With a medical condition I think I do plan to get the epidural at some point. I do want delayed cord clamping, no eyedrops, and minimal interventions. I want my provider to be certified and have experience helping first time moms that do not deal with pain well. I am 25 and possible have POTS or Vasovagal syncopy. I would love someone who also is a lactation consultant
