I would love a homebirth but do not have the financials for a midwife. I am currently getting care through Stonybrook, however I want to switch to either NUMC or Huntington if I cannot figure out the homebirth situation. I want a doula IN PERSON regardless for support but more so if I am in the hospital. This is my 3rd pregnancy. My first was an unnecessary C-section. My second was a VBAC that I had to fight for. I am not religious.

I’m a first-time mom expecting a baby girl in early February 2027, and I’m looking for an experienced, certified birth doula who is warm, patient, reassuring, and knowledgeable. I would love someone who has several years of experience supporting first-time mothers and who is comfortable helping me understand my options throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. I’m looking for someone who can provide both emotional and practical support, help me prepare for labor, explain what to expect, help me advocate for my preferences, and provide calming guidance during labor and during postpartum. It’s also important to me that my partner is included and supported throughout the process, so I’d love a doula who can help him feel confident and involved as well. I don’t currently have any special-care needs, but as a first-time mom I value having someone experienced who I can ask questions and who can help me feel prepared rather than overwhelmed. I’m primarily looking support in postpartum services, particularly newborn care, breastfeeding/feeding support, sleep guidance, and help adjusting during the first few weeks. My budget is flexible depending on the doula’s experience, certifications, services included, and level of prenatal/postpartum support. I plan on giving birth at Uconn health Center in Farmington, Connecticut. My budget is up to $1000. My current birth plan is to be induced on October 6th, 2026 because I have a high risk twin pregnancy as well as adrenal insufficiency requiring monitoring and stress doses of IV steroids. This is my 1st pregnancy. I plan on attempting a vaginal birth but am comfortable having a C-section if medically necessary.
