I plan to give birth Midstate hospital in Meriden and the rest I’m trying to figure out

We are looking for someone to care for our baby while the mom can get some much needed rest. This is our first baby. We typically want 3x a week in the morning for 4 hours at a time. Sometimes we may need a 4 hour chunk in late afternoon or early evening plus some adhoc hours.

First Baby staying in Norwalk-Ct-06850. Looking for Postpartum Doula 3 to 4 hours in a day for a month, ideally newborn feeding, Bathing experience. Budget around $40/Hour

First born, in Fairfield Connecticut. Looking for assistance for 3 nights a week for the 1st month. Newborn feeding experience preferred. Budget 40$/hour. Blue cross blue shield Anthem plan.

I plan on giving birth at Yale hospital in New Haven I want some guidance with breathing techniques, hip massages, pushing guidance and methods, dim lights, and soft music. The dad should be present at all times. Skin to skin first with me then skin skin with a dad, wherever the baby goes the dad goes, especially during circumcision procedure. I want to breast-feed and the baby should always stay in the room with us. No epidural unless I say that I need it, no constantly checking my cervix I do not want to infection No C-section unless it’s an emergency

Hi ! My name is Nadia. I'm expecting my first baby on December 19th and I'm looking for a birth doula. We live in Easton and I'll be delivering at Yale New Haven's Bridgeport campus, with Women's Obstetrics & Gynecology in Trumbull. What I'm hoping for: a medicated hospital birth. I'm not trying for an unmedicated delivery and I'd rather not be talked into one— I want someone who is fully on board with an epidural and will help me get the best version of that experience rather than treat it as a fallback. Some context on where my pregnancy stands, because it shapes what I need: [personal details hidden], [personal details hidden], and my glucose screening is still ahead of me. At my anatomy scan we learned [personal details hidden]. Because of that I'm on serial growth scans. At my most recent one, at 24w6d, [personal details hidden]. [personal details hidden] and [personal details hidden], but we're watching the trend closely and I'm pushing for shorter intervals between scans. What that means practically is that there's a real chance of a smaller baby, a possible early delivery, and more monitoring and decision points than a typical labor. I'd like someone who is comfortable in that environment. What I'm looking for in a doula: Someone who can help me keep track of what's happening medically and translate it in the moment so I understand what I'm agreeing to when decisions come quickly and advocate for me in real time where I might be physically/emotionally compromised. Help with labor positions, including after an epidural. If the baby ends up in a difficult position I'd love someone with Spinning Babies training or similar. My two biggest fears, honestly: First, being separated from my baby after delivery. Given the growth situation there's a chance she needs extra observation, and the thought of her being taken somewhere I want to avoid at all costs. I want help protecting skin-to-skin and the first hour wherever it's medically possible, and I want someone who knows how to ask the right questions and push back (within reason) if a separation is proposed. Second, the epidural not working or only working on one side. I want someone who can help me cope if there's a gap and who will keep pressing for anesthesia to come back and fix it rather than letting it ride. A few practical questions: Do you have experience specifically at Bridgeport Yale? What's your backup arrangement if you're at another birth when I go into labor, and have I met that person? Do you offer any postpartum hours, and are you available for December? My husband and I would love to talk. Thank you for reading all of this!
