I’m due with my second baby on 10/22. I’m delivering at Greenwich Hospital, and working with midwives from Northeast Medical Group in Stamford. My goal is an unmedicated birth with minimal interventions. My daughter was born in May 2025 in NYC. I went into labor at 39 weeks. I had a doula and made it to 6cm unmedicated, and opted for the epidural as I had been awake for over 24 hours and needed rest. Things progressed quickly from there and I had an uncomplicated vaginal birth. This time I’m hoping for a faster labor and to not need the epidural. I breastfed my daughter for 11 months and would have liked to go longer if I hadn’t been pregnant. The beginning was very challenging because of flat nipples. I primarily pumped until she started latching at 6 weeks, and things were relatively smooth from there. I’m hoping for an easier start to breastfeeding this time. I am a stay at home mom so hope to breastfeed for at least a year with minimal pumping. I know I will need early lactation support to achieve this. I’m looking to spend less than $2500 for a birth doula, and hope insurance will cover some. I’m looking for someone who will be very hands on in labor, and help me to labor at home as long as possible.

Hi! We had a baby girl 9 days ago and are looking for possible night support in Hawthorne (Westchester). She's sleeping and feeding well, so this would be straightforward overnight care. How to stop getting mastitis and I guess possibly reducing supply

11 week old suddenly fussy and crying at breast after no breastfeeding problems at all. Side lying nursing at night fine—seems to be specific to nursing while I’m sitting up. We are a lesbian couple, and my wife is 15 weeks pregnant. Planning for a hospital birth in Manhattan. I am the non-gestational parent and I am inducing lactation and looking for support in both the prenatal and postpartum nursing and birth process. We are hoping to find someone covered by Aetna, and who can work with inducing lactation.

My three-week-old will latch for a few seconds and then pull off and start crying. He was latching in the hospital but we needed to supplement with formula due to hypoglycemia and jaundice, and we are now primarily pumping/bottle feeding but would like to reintroduce breastfeeding as well.

I’ve tried using my Spectra and Willow Go but both produce the same output. My right is my weakest compared to my left but this is definitely a new low
