This mother of 3 has experienced a lot and I'm here to support you as a birth doula. DONA Certified for Birth and Postpartum support, Certified Lactation Consulting, Certified Childbirth Educator, Reiki certified, Body Ready Method and Spinning Babies Trained for labor prep and comfort measures. As long as I have walked the earth, I have been perceived as a creative to the core, a visual artist, and a classical musician. My BFA in Fashion and Textile Design from FIT helped commit that identity but I was always attracted to helping people and understanding how the body works. A few years later, that curiosity challenged me to enroll in a course that was the complete opposite of what I had always been. I survived, flourished, and was 1 of 7 people to graduate from an intense 40 week program when I became a Certified Surgical Technologist. My graduation coincided with becoming pregnant 3 months later, and 9 months after that I graciously took on my next job, being a mommy! Along the way, I worked on my art, let my CST lapse, picked up my bass to occasionally play in orchestras, and had 2 more babies. My family was my focus but as children got older, I found more flexibility to explore the other facets of myself. I have had the luxury to develop my own body of fine art, play in an international orchestra, and discover the incredible gift of being a doula! My background as an artist and musician has taught me how to improvise and individualize every situation based on essential evidence-based ideals. My focus is to give each family a positive, special birth experience. I utilize professional resources, analogies, images, stories, and humor into our time together. My first support opportunities were with three very gracious young ladies at the Malta House. It was through their need for education that I learned how to teach about childbirth, their right to a beautiful birth experience taught me commitment, and their desire for unwavering companionship taught me how to support. I have since earned additional certifications in lactation consulting, childbirth education, and body preparedness for labor in order to better support women in the perinatal space. I am proud to support women in a variety of environments to help advocate for their desired birth!

I am a full-spectrum doula, offering support in reproductive health, birth and labor, and postpartum care in Connecticut and Rhode Island. I love doula work because I deeply value the one-to-one relationships I build with clients, walking alongside them during one of the most important and transformative experiences of their lives. My passion for supporting, educating, and empowering people giving birth comes from my commitment to addressing the maternal and infant health disparities that disproportionately affect Black women. My goal is to help all birthing people—especially Black women—feel confident, informed, and supported by: learning to trust their bodies, learning to trust themselves to make informed decisions and advocate for the birth experience they desire, and receiving culturally responsive, non-clinical emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth. It would be an honor to support you on your birth journey. I work collaboratively with you and your support team to create an experience where you feel confident, informed, and surrounded by care, love, and respect. I welcome you to schedule a free, 30-minute consultation to help us get to know one another, decide if we're a good fit and so that I can also answer any questions you may have. Michelle was an excellent caregiver to our newborn daughter. Our baby smiled every night when Michelle walked through the door. While we are sad that our time with Michelle is over, she left us in the best place possible - with a baby sleeping 11-12 hrs by 8 weeks.

Hi! My name is Yasmina. As a DONA-certified Birth Doula based in Greenwich, CT, I offer my clients evidence-based and curated support before, during, and after labor. Yasmina was a vital part of my second pregnancy and labor and delivery. I don’t know what I would have done without her. To give some background, I had an emergency cerclage put in and I reached out to Yasmina after to inquire about her doula services. She listened to my concerns, my backstory, and my wishes. Not only was she attentive and caring, but because she knew there was a possibility the baby would be born early, she had a backup doula in case she was not back from out of town. That doula was also so attentive and was full of knowledge as well. Yasmina checked in with me consistently and when it was time, she came to the hospital immediately after I confirmed she should come. When there, she had so many strategies to help calm my mind and my body. She helped me think through decisions when it came to my labor and the hospital/doctors and she advocated for me. Yasmina knew I wanted to go natural/no epidural or Pitocin and we made a plan to do so. As the pain got more and more intense, she was encouraging and suggested different positions and coached me through the contractions and hard times. She applied pressure and made suggestions and had music and lighting and smells to set the scene in addition to different tools to help me through. I was in labor for about 3 hours and when it came time that I felt I couldn’t go any further because the pain was a 10/10, she continuously cheered me on until it was time to push. While pushing she advocated for me when I couldn’t even talk. When things got scary after baby came out, she held my hand and calmed me. After things were settled she made sure I was okay before she left. Afterwards, she checked up on me many times. I was not able to have a doula during my first labor because it was during COVID, Yasmina made my second labor a COMPLETELY different experience in a positive way. The first time I tore a second degree and my cervix lacerated, the second time with her I only had first degree tears and a good recovery and I truly believe it was because she calmed me and helped me relax my body as much as possible during labor. I highly recommend Yasmina to be your doula. She is knowledgeable, understanding and good at what she does!

Leeann joined our family as a Newborn Care Specialist right when our daughter came home from the hospital and quickly became part of our family. I had originally booked her for 6 weeks, mostly nights only, but she was so incredible that I extended her care to 24 hours, 6 days a week for a full 12 weeks. We are first time parents who had no idea what we were doing, but Leeann stepped in and taught us everything in a way that was non-intrusive and respectful. From sleep schedules, to feeding, to baby's development - Leeann is a true expert in all things newborn. She is also very professional and has a website and LLC for her company. What I loved most about Leeann is the way she cared for our daughter. She treated her like she was her own and was so warm and loving from day 1. As weeks went on, it was amazing to see how engaging she was, taking her on walks, reading to her daily, recommending we get certain toys to help with our baby's development. I would keep Leeann forever if I could. While we're sad to see her go (we're transitioning to a nanny once we go back to work), we would love to help her find an amazing family. I would also be more than happy to speak with anyone who is considering Leeann for newborn care - she is just amazing!!!

Birth never gets old to me. It’s always beautiful, surprising and full of hope and promise. Over 23 years of being a doula, I’ve seen so many amazing people become parents and new babies join us- some of whom are grownup now! My philosophy is that, you know yourself, and I believe in your ability to make the choices that are best for you and your family at your birth- my goal is to support you during the process, answer questions, help you make informed decisions when presented with unexpected circumstances and help with practical solutions to issues such as a baby who isn’t in an optimal position, social/emotional issues and needs, supporting your partner and other children and animals and more. I bring tens of thousands of hours of time spent with people in labor worth of knowledge to you and your birth, and whatever you choose- epidural, unmedicated, induction, cesarean, etc makes no difference to me, I will support you through whatever you choose, help you achieve your very best outcome and make sure you are safe and validated throughout. You are all my life’s work, and I’m grateful to be trusted with your care.

Tori was my postpartum doula and we worked with her for over 4 months. It was actually a bittersweet goodbye on her last day and our family is beyond grateful having her in this journey as first time parents. I can’t thank her enough for all the help she’s given us. It could have been worse for my experience hiring a doula for the first time but God is so kind to lead us to her. She helped us with our colicky baby by providing us resources, recommendations (lactation consultations, craniosacral theraphy etc) and every help she gave us was almost always a game changer or aha moments for us. Our baby loves her, even our furpuppy dog Hopper. I’ve seen how compassionate of a mom she is and an advocate of her job as a doula even great at making lactation bites which became my favorite snack! 😁 I would highly recommend her. She is so easy to work with. We’d love to have her again for our 2nd child (God’s willing 🙏🏼) 💕
