Tori was my postpartum doula and we worked with her for over 4 months. It was actually a bittersweet goodbye on her last day and our family is beyond grateful having her in this journey as first time parents. I can’t thank her enough for all the help she’s given us. It could have been worse for my experience hiring a doula for the first time but God is so kind to lead us to her. She helped us with our colicky baby by providing us resources, recommendations (lactation consultations, craniosacral theraphy etc) and every help she gave us was almost always a game changer or aha moments for us. Our baby loves her, even our furpuppy dog Hopper. I’ve seen how compassionate of a mom she is and an advocate of her job as a doula even great at making lactation bites which became my favorite snack! 😁 I would highly recommend her. She is so easy to work with. We’d love to have her again for our 2nd child (God’s willing 🙏🏼) 💕

After birthing three children within a time span of five years, I couldn't help but recognize how overwhelming pregnancy, childbirth and parenting in general can be. I also had an unfavorable birthing experience with my first child. I was young, under-supported with financially limited options and felt "under-qualified" to be part of labor and delivery decision making. I simply left everything up to my obstetrician. I was told what to do and what not to do, what to take, where to go and even when to push. I was rarely asked for consent, but rather told what they were doing to me as they decided to do it. It all felt so clinical, as if I was in the hospital due to an illness rather than a healthy, natural event. I felt lonely, helpless and scared for three days straight. Needless to say, the experience left me wondering what could have been done differently and what choices each pregnant mother has to create a more empowered, positive birthing experience. The moment I discovered doula work, it gave me a sense of relief learning that our society has a support system specially geared for the mother to be guided and assisted through this journey. I personally feel that our culture has brainwashed us to believe that childbirth is simply a painful burden to endure. (Cue television and movie clips where the laboring woman is screaming bloody murder and everyone is rushing around her as if there is a scary emergency to be remedied.) However, with the right knowledge and support, there can be such beauty and empowerment that comes with knowing all of your choices and feeling in control while fully trusting that your body has the capability and the strength to do exactly what it's meant to do - create new life and make miracles happen. I am a certified labor doula (CLD) and certified postpartum doula (CPD) through CAPPA (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association). I actively attend workshops, courses and continuing education classes on childbirth, hypnobirthing, fetal positioning, breastfeeding, postpartum, baby care basics and holding space for pregnancy loss in the Fairfield County, CT area. I am also Certified in Usui Reiki Levels I & II. I am passionate about childbirth and I work incredibly hard to ensure that my clients have a positive and memorable birth experience however they may envision that to look like. My goal is for you to feel informed, respected and for your voice to be heard by your birthing team in your chosen birth environment.

As a CACHE-Certified Newborn Care Specialist, Certified Postpartum Doula, and Sleep Consultant with over 10 years of childcare experience, I provide knowledgeable, compassionate support to families as they navigate the newborn and postpartum period. My experience with children began in 2015 through volunteer work in Brazil, where I cared for children in orphanages, pediatric cancer hospitals, and low-income daycare centers. After moving to the United States in 2016, I built my professional career primarily around newborn and infant care. In 2022, I completed my Newborn Care Specialist training and have continued to expand my education in newborn care, postpartum support, and infant sleep. Over the years, I have supported families with overnight newborn care, feeding, age-appropriate routines, healthy sleep foundations, and the transition home with a new baby. My experience also includes caring for premature newborns and twins. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming the early weeks with a newborn can feel, especially while parents are recovering and adjusting to an entirely new rhythm at home. My role is to bring a calm, capable presence into that space. Whether I am caring for a baby overnight so parents can get much-needed rest, helping establish a sustainable routine, or simply providing reassurance and guidance, I tailor my support to the needs of each individual family. I believe excellent newborn care is never one-size-fits-all. I take the time to understand each family’s preferences, parenting philosophy, and goals while providing thoughtful, evidence-based guidance and attentive care for their baby. Families can expect me to be dependable, discreet, organized, and genuinely invested in making the postpartum experience feel more manageable and supported. I am also certified in Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid and remain committed to continuing education and staying current with best practices in newborn and postpartum care. Above all, I want parents to feel confident that while their baby is in my care, they can rest knowing their little one is being cared for with patience, attention, and experience.

With over 20 years of experience supporting families across six countries, I bring a deep understanding of the diverse ways cultures nurture parent-child relationships. My journey into birth work began as a Health Community Worker, advocating for immigrant Latino families in New York. Later, while working at a mental health agency in Connecticut, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that nurturing, consistent, and responsive caregiving has on a child’s development. This realization fueled my passion for family support and led me to become a Birth and Postpartum Doula, ensuring families receive guidance and care from the very start of their parenting journey. Three years ago, I earned my certification in Perinatal Mental Health, allowing me to further support families through the emotional complexities of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Fluent in both Spanish and English, I am dedicated to creating a compassionate and culturally informed space for every family I serve.

Martha brought a level of joy, reassurance and experience to our daughters birth we didn’t even know we needed. Every step of the way through my pregnancy she checked in on me and provided the guidance I needed. Our birth changed pretty rapidly but Martha’s positivity and expertise made the entire experience more enjoyable. We were able to really focus on the birth while she helped guide those around us on decisions we made beforehand. Pregnancy doesn’t just stop after birth, the emotional and physical work continues after you’re home as well. Martha is there by your side through it all! She helped change my postpartum experience immensely, I cannot thank her enough. I will forever recommend The Knitting Doula!

This mother of 3 has experienced a lot and I'm here to support you as a birth doula. DONA Certified for Birth and Postpartum support, Certified Lactation Consulting, Certified Childbirth Educator, Reiki certified, Body Ready Method and Spinning Babies Trained for labor prep and comfort measures. As long as I have walked the earth, I have been perceived as a creative to the core, a visual artist, and a classical musician. My BFA in Fashion and Textile Design from FIT helped commit that identity but I was always attracted to helping people and understanding how the body works. A few years later, that curiosity challenged me to enroll in a course that was the complete opposite of what I had always been. I survived, flourished, and was 1 of 7 people to graduate from an intense 40 week program when I became a Certified Surgical Technologist. My graduation coincided with becoming pregnant 3 months later, and 9 months after that I graciously took on my next job, being a mommy! Along the way, I worked on my art, let my CST lapse, picked up my bass to occasionally play in orchestras, and had 2 more babies. My family was my focus but as children got older, I found more flexibility to explore the other facets of myself. I have had the luxury to develop my own body of fine art, play in an international orchestra, and discover the incredible gift of being a doula! My background as an artist and musician has taught me how to improvise and individualize every situation based on essential evidence-based ideals. My focus is to give each family a positive, special birth experience. I utilize professional resources, analogies, images, stories, and humor into our time together. My first support opportunities were with three very gracious young ladies at the Malta House. It was through their need for education that I learned how to teach about childbirth, their right to a beautiful birth experience taught me commitment, and their desire for unwavering companionship taught me how to support. I have since earned additional certifications in lactation consulting, childbirth education, and body preparedness for labor in order to better support women in the perinatal space. I am proud to support women in a variety of environments to help advocate for their desired birth!

I live in Bethany, Connecticut with my husband and children, and it is my honor to walk alongside families during one of the most meaningful moments of their lives. As your birth doula, my goal is to help you feel calm, supported, informed, and deeply confident in your body and your choices. I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout labor and birth, gently reminding you of your birth preferences when focus feels hard to maintain. I guide you with visualization, relaxation techniques, and comfort measures to help you stay grounded and connected between surges. After birth, I support those precious first moments—encouraging skin-to-skin bonding and assisting with baby-led, self-latching if you plan to breastfeed—so you can begin your parenting journey feeling empowered and supported. I am DONA International certified in Birth & Postpartum Care, a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) through Healthy Children, a Spinning Babies™ Certified Parent Educator, an Evidence Based Birth™ Instructor, a Placenta Encapsulation Specialist and a Childbirth Educator. I also have extensive experience supporting families who use Hypnobirthing techniques and truly love helping parents create a birth experience that feels gentle, calm, and aligned with their vision. I would be honored to support you in achieving the birth you’ve dreamed of—one filled with trust, confidence, and compassionate care.

Yasmina was a vital part of my second pregnancy and labor and delivery. I don’t know what I would have done without her. To give some background, I had an emergency cerclage put in and I reached out to Yasmina after to inquire about her doula services. She listened to my concerns, my backstory, and my wishes. Not only was she attentive and caring, but because she knew there was a possibility the baby would be born early, she had a backup doula in case she was not back from out of town. That doula was also so attentive and was full of knowledge as well. Yasmina checked in with me consistently and when it was time, she came to the hospital immediately after I confirmed she should come. When there, she had so many strategies to help calm my mind and my body. She helped me think through decisions when it came to my labor and the hospital/doctors and she advocated for me. Yasmina knew I wanted to go natural/no epidural or Pitocin and we made a plan to do so. As the pain got more and more intense, she was encouraging and suggested different positions and coached me through the contractions and hard times. She applied pressure and made suggestions and had music and lighting and smells to set the scene in addition to different tools to help me through. I was in labor for about 3 hours and when it came time that I felt I couldn’t go any further because the pain was a 10/10, she continuously cheered me on until it was time to push. While pushing she advocated for me when I couldn’t even talk. When things got scary after baby came out, she held my hand and calmed me. After things were settled she made sure I was okay before she left. Afterwards, she checked up on me many times. I was not able to have a doula during my first labor because it was during COVID, Yasmina made my second labor a COMPLETELY different experience in a positive way. The first time I tore a second degree and my cervix lacerated, the second time with her I only had first degree tears and a good recovery and I truly believe it was because she calmed me and helped me relax my body as much as possible during labor. I highly recommend Yasmina to be your doula. She is knowledgeable, understanding and good at what she does!

Christina was wonderful from the beginning! I connected with Christina in the beginning of my pregnancy and she was supportive and had my back right up until my baby was born. We had monthly calls that were always very informative and made me feel so supported. During our calls Christina never rushed me or made me feel like my questions were silly. She also answered and questions I had in between our scheduled calls. Christina understood my vision for my birth from the beginning and helped me transfer care in the middle of my pregnancy. Christina made me feel confident, heard, and prepared for my delivery. She also helped me navigate complications during my pregnancy and gave me the tools to advocate for myself. During my delivery she came while I was in active labor and jumped right in. She brought fake candles and aromatherapy for me which were so nice. I had a hard time once my water broke and she really helped me through it. I also had to make the decision of continuing with labor or getting a c-section and she talked it through with me and my boyfriend. I ended up getting a c-section and she stayed with me in the OR the entire time. She was also a huge support for my boyfriend who was extremely scared for me and our baby. She also took amazing pictures of my surgery and or me and my boyfriend during the c-section. I was pretty out of it and didn’t realize she was taking pictures which I’m so thankful for now. I also asked Christina if she would make prints with my placenta after the delivery. She was happy to do so and they came out beautiful! Christina stayed with me and my family until about 5 am to make sure we were all ok. Christina exceeded my expectations and truly made my pregnancy so wonderful. My birth did not go as I planned but her support truly made the difference for me. She has also been a huge support postpartum! She is a wonderful doula and human being and I highly recommend her for your pregnancy 💕

Kim was an absolute angel to my husband and I during my labor and delivery! She brought such a calming and reassuring presence to the room, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better person to have by our side. She listened to our preferences, gave us sound advice, and made sure we felt heard and advocated for throughout the entire experience. Even during my pregnancy, she was always there to help. She checked in regularly, answered any questions I had, and even helped me figure out the right questions to ask my doctor so I could feel more informed and prepared going into delivery. One thing I really appreciated about Kim is that you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and caring, and her support never felt like she was just doing a job. She truly cared about me, my baby, and our experience. I’m so grateful we chose her and I would recommend her a thousand times over!

November 2026

Kim was very knowledgeable about various aspects surrounding pregnancy and birth. Kim was able to listen to my situation, assess all the things I would need to best support this pregnancy, work with me on a schedule that worked for both of us and even helped me communicate with my providers with understanding. She was very resourceful when it came to accessing different readings and websites, very timely in responding to messages, timely with birth planning and was helpful when it came to my husband needing more information on how to care for me and my baby. Overall best experience ever had, will be returning again.
