I am a full-spectrum doula, offering support in reproductive health, birth and labor, and postpartum care in Connecticut and Rhode Island. I love doula work because I deeply value the one-to-one relationships I build with clients, walking alongside them during one of the most important and transformative experiences of their lives. My passion for supporting, educating, and empowering people giving birth comes from my commitment to addressing the maternal and infant health disparities that disproportionately affect Black women. My goal is to help all birthing people—especially Black women—feel confident, informed, and supported by: learning to trust their bodies, learning to trust themselves to make informed decisions and advocate for the birth experience they desire, and receiving culturally responsive, non-clinical emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after birth. It would be an honor to support you on your birth journey. I work collaboratively with you and your support team to create an experience where you feel confident, informed, and surrounded by care, love, and respect. I welcome you to schedule a free, 30-minute consultation to help us get to know one another, decide if we're a good fit and so that I can also answer any questions you may have. Nurturing the Whole Family I meet you exactly where you are, offering guidance, reassurance, resources, and space to rest, heal, and adjust while caring for your newborn. I support not just the baby, but you and your household as a whole—without judgment. With ongoing, compassionate support, families feel grounded, capable, informed, and truly cared for. My role is to provide steady, thoughtful guidance as your family settles into your new rhythm, helping you navigate the joys and challenges of early parenthood with confidence and calm. Great News for Parents! We are proud to offer postpartum care that can be reimbursed by insurance. For families with Blue Cross Blue Shield, you can receive up to 15 hours of postpartum care, valued at $1,500, reimbursed at the end of your journey. We also bill Carrot Insurance and Maven Insurance, and we are in the process of joining the United Healthcare network. To use Blue Cross or United benefits, you must work with a board-certified perinatal doula in Rhode Island—which I am! This means you can focus on your postpartum recovery while we handle the paperwork and ensure your care is covered.

Marianna came into our lives on maybe our most vulnerable night, the day we came home with newborn twins. She immediately put us at ease, and calmed our precious, screaming potatoes so that we could finally get some rest. She cooked delicious food, from quick snacks to hearty meals, and always left the kitchen clean and orderly. We contracted with her for 2 nights a week, which was a nice schedule to feel supported while we figured it out on our own. I was initially skeptical on whether we needed a post-partum doula (clearly I never had twins before), but in the end it was more than worth it. I would recommend Gimme Sleep to anyone, and wish Marianna the best!

Re: Diane Sirpenski/Newborn Care Specialist To Whom It May Concern: I am writing in regard to Diane Sirpenski, whom I have known and hired as my newborn care specialist for all three of my kids. I believe Diane is the best and always my FIRST choice for the above cited position. I have known Diane since November 2017, when I first hired her as the newborn care specialist for my first-born son who is now 2.5 years old. Her position with us lasted about 12 weeks wherein she provided nighttime care for our then 2-month-old son. She would show up promptly at 10:00 pm, (NEVER TARDY!), always easing my nerves being that I was a first-time mom. Diane always answered all my first-time mom questions and always had super helpful tips handy. She was very up to date with the latest trends and knowledge regarding baby care so I knew I could trust her advice. She took detailed care notes throughout the night regarding feedings, diaper changes, and sleep periods. When I got pregnant with my twin girls in February 2019 Diane was the only choice for me. I reached out to her immediately to securely lock in her help! She got me through my first few months with my first born with so much ease, I knew I needed her around for my biggest challenge yet. Throughout my pregnancy, Diane often reached out to me to check in and chat. She sent me twin tips and intel she gathered from all her vast experience. She was of course up to date on all the must haves to alleviate the first few months with newborns. Even though I had a relationship with Diane from my prior pregnancy this certainly helped establish and further our relationship. This was important since she would be spending a lot time with us once the babies arrived. Diane showed up on our first night home with the twins at the end of September 2019 and immediately dove into the task and challenges of a nighttime routine with not one newborn but two! She showed skill, expertise and most importantly compassion towards the girls and the position. She quickly became part of our family and we loved having her around. She showed the same professionalism as she did when we met her the first time around- always punctual and reliable. Her hygiene paralleled that of a nurse, which of course is a top priority. I had restful nights knowing the girls were in great care. Newborn twins are as tough as it gets- and she made it look easy. The girls started sleeping through the night at 6 months old and never wake each other up. We have Diane to thank for helping us get through it. In summary, I would highly recommend Diane as the BEST choice for any newborn care specialist position and strongly encourage any family to jump at the opportunity in hiring her. Please free to contact me should you have any specific questions regarding Diane’s qualifications. I would be more than happy to further discuss her outstanding qualifications.

Some fun facts about me: I love dancing, watching movies, and I am an animal lover! As a child, I grew up on a small farm. My cat Boo is my child. And I even walk dogs and pet sit on the side of my doula business!

I can’t say enough good things about Becca! From the very beginning, she was there to help me prepare both physically and emotionally. She’s not only incredibly knowledgeable but also so fun and kind, which made the whole process feel a lot less overwhelming. Becca helped me build muscle memory for key movements that would be useful during labor. But she made sure I was not overwhelmed with too much information to be able to stay in “laborland” as she calls. She guided me in identifying and addressing my fears before birth. Acknowledging those fears ahead of time gave me a sense of peace I didn’t even realize I needed. She also helped me create a value-based birth plan, ensuring it was respected by the hospital team (which was not standard care in the hospital!) During labor, Becca was absolutely incredible. She stayed with us for 24 hours straight (or maybe more? I lost track of time after a while lol), supporting not just me but my husband too by helping him to help me. Her positive energy made a huge impact. She created a calm, cozy space with her electric candles and soft voice where I felt safe and protected. She moved with me and held space. When a doctor dismissed my needs and concerns, Becca was right there to advocate for me and made sure my voice was heard. Her advice on pushing positions and paced pushing helped turn my baby, who was in a side position, allowing me to give birth vaginally without tearing!- which was one of my fears. Even after labor, when I felt completely drained and defeated, Becca was there with her positive, reassuring words. She kept reminding me of how strong I had been, especially when I stood up for myself when some of the providers weren’t as responsive as they should’ve been. It helped me to rewrite my birth story and made it a story of empowerment! Becca’s kindness, fun personality, and ability to create such a positive environment gave me the confidence to believe in myself. I truly don’t know how I would have gotten through the experience without her, and I’ll always be so grateful for the positive impact she had on me and my birth!

Hello, I’m Amber, the heart behind Life’s Journey Doula Services, and I’m honored to support families through one of life’s most meaningful journeys—welcoming their baby into the world. I believe birth is more than just a moment in time; it is a powerful and deeply personal experience that deserves to be approached with compassion, respect, and support. My philosophy as a birth doula is centered around making sure you feel heard, informed, empowered, and never alone throughout your birth experience. Every family, every pregnancy, and every birth is different. I don’t believe there is one “right” way to give birth. Whether you are planning an unmedicated birth, considering pain relief, planning a cesarean birth, or simply want to remain open to where your journey takes you, my role is to support your choices without judgment. I provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support, while creating a calm and reassuring presence during labor. I’m there to encourage you, help you find comfort measures that work for you, advocate for your wishes, and remind you of your strength when things feel overwhelming. Most importantly, I want you to feel confident in yourself and your ability to birth your baby. My goal is not to tell you how your birth should unfold, but to walk beside you through it—honoring your voice, your choices, and your unique journey. It would be an honor to be part of yours. ❤️

Hi, I’m Marsha, founder of Blissful Sleep Doulas. I began supporting families as a postpartum doula in 2018, and what started as one doula caring for one family at a time has grown into a trusted team of experienced, dedicated doulas supporting new and growing families throughout Greater Boston and beyond. Blissful Sleep Doulas offers birth and postpartum doula support, breastfeeding support, newborn and infant sleep support, and prenatal education. We also offer digital guides covering pregnancy, newborn care, postpartum recovery, feeding, sleep, and more, because we believe parents deserve reliable support and practical answers throughout the entire journey, not just after baby arrives. Every doula on our team is carefully vetted and brings professional training, hands-on experience, and a genuine passion for supporting families. Our approach is warm, judgment-free, and personalized to your family, your baby, and the kind of support you actually need. We believe the postpartum season deserves just as much care and preparation as birth itself. You shouldn’t be expected to figure everything out on your own or feel like you have to do it all without help. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating those first weeks at home, looking for overnight support so everyone can get some much-needed rest, or trying to understand your baby’s changing sleep needs, our team is here to help you feel supported, rested, and confident along the way. Rested Parents. Thriving Babies.

I cannot recommend Blissful Sleep enough! We have used them twice now, and their timeliness and reliability really stood out compared to other services we’ve tried. The doulas are natural at soothing and caring for babies, and they were incredibly helpful with establishing routines. Beyond just childcare, they did dishes, washed bottles and pump parts, and helped with other chores, which gave us more time for sleep. We appreciated how flexible they were. They always adjusted to whatever we needed that specific morning—some days that meant letting the baby sleep as long as possible, and other days they had her changed and fed so she was ready for our morning rush to school/ work. If our baby didn't need anything in the morning they would brew coffee and read to the older kiddos. They go above and beyond to support the whole family.

Michelle was an excellent caregiver to our newborn daughter. Our baby smiled every night when Michelle walked through the door. While we are sad that our time with Michelle is over, she left us in the best place possible - with a baby sleeping 11-12 hrs by 8 weeks.

Danielle is truly wonderful! As a pelvic floor physical therapist, I know just how important it is for moms to feel supported throughout pregnancy and postpartum, and Danielle is exactly the kind of person you want by your side during that time. She is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about helping moms and families navigate this stage of life. She has such a warm, calming presence and makes everyone around her feel comfortable and cared for. It’s so clear how much she loves what she does, and I would highly recommend her to any new or expecting mom!

Danielle was the best decision we made postpartum. I had never heard of people having a postpartum doula but she came in and took pressure off us. She talked us through pacifiers, bottles, breastfeeding, naps and showed my husband and I how to diaper, sooth and take care of a baby. She also made sure we were eating - and kept us healthy for the weeks after birth when we couldn’t have found the energy to cook. She did the things around the house we needed to do but couldn’t find the time for in the newborn bubble. She became a part of our family and I already miss her support!

Thank goodness we found Nicole! We received a gift certificate from a friend for her registry concierge service. At first we weren't sure we would use it. But we went for it and she spent several sessions helping us set up our registry in a way that fit our family. We loved it so much that we hired her to come help us set up the house before the baby came, and then contracted her for daytime visits for the first three months of our girl's life! She will always be a member of our clan. Without her, we would have wasted an immense amount of time and money figuring it out on our own and taking energy away from each other and our baby. Thank you Nicole! 💕💕
