I’m due with my second baby on 10/22. I’m delivering at Greenwich Hospital, and working with midwives from Northeast Medical Group in Stamford. My goal is an unmedicated birth with minimal interventions. My daughter was born in May 2025 in NYC. I went into labor at 39 weeks. I had a doula and made it to 6cm unmedicated, and opted for the epidural as I had been awake for over 24 hours and needed rest. Things progressed quickly from there and I had an uncomplicated vaginal birth. This time I’m hoping for a faster labor and to not need the epidural. I breastfed my daughter for 11 months and would have liked to go longer if I hadn’t been pregnant. The beginning was very challenging because of flat nipples. I primarily pumped until she started latching at 6 weeks, and things were relatively smooth from there. I’m hoping for an easier start to breastfeeding this time. I am a stay at home mom so hope to breastfeed for at least a year with minimal pumping. I know I will need early lactation support to achieve this. I’m looking to spend less than $2500 for a birth doula, and hope insurance will cover some. I’m looking for someone who will be very hands on in labor, and help me to labor at home as long as possible.

Plan to give birth in the hospital. Budget is low. My First pregnancy. I speak English and Portuguese. 35 years old.

I am exclusively pumping and am looking to discuss how to help maximize my supply as much as possible. Currently making about 2oz per 2 hours, and i’m 4 hours about 80mLs. I am 10 days post partum and i don’t want my supply to plateau. I am also recovering from a c-section. I am on medicaid so I am looking for a lactation consultant that takes that.

help with painful latch, baby seems to be shallow at the breast.

12 days post c section. When pumping only producing an ounce a day. Baby is latching for 10-15 minutes. Not sure if baby is getting anything. Started supplemented with formula but want to solely be breast milk. Want to up my milk supply. Drinking lots of water and eating. Dont get why I’m only getting an ounce a day and pumping every 2-3 hours.

Do you take Medicaid insurance? Or Healthfirst NY insurance?

Hi! We had a baby girl 9 days ago and are looking for possible night support in Hawthorne (Westchester). She's sleeping and feeding well, so this would be straightforward overnight care. I may have a work project starting late next week that would run 2–4 weeks. It isn't confirmed yet, so I'm looking for someone who's comfortable with a flexible start date. Would you have availability in that window? If so, what's your rate? Thanks!

This is our first baby and i'm looking into some sort of assistance for my wife a few hours a day , few days per week for when i go back to work. Someone who can help with chores around the house or watch the baby so mom can get some rest.

Two week old unable to latch due to inverted nipples. Latches with shield but gives up in a few minutes. Unable to build supply after pumping at least 8 times a day. I pump out 5 ml per session from one breast and a few drops from other. I pump at 12am, then 2-3 am and then at 7am to keep up with night pumps. I’m eating munchkin brand lactation cookies, drinking 1.5 L water and a glass of milk in addition to 2-3 meals. I want to be able to provide baby with some breast milk but not able to. Would like an insurance covered visit to my home for a consult.

My right breast has nearly stopped producing milk. It’s producing about .5 oz. My breast is definitely starting to get heavier and there are some hard spots. I’ve tried using my Spectra and Willow Go but both produce the same output. My right is my weakest compared to my left but this is definitely a new low

How to stop getting mastitis and I guess possibly reducing supply

Giving birth at NY Pres Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor NY. Estimated budget $1,800. Birth plan: epidural vaginal birth. I would strongly prefer a Black woman doula with at least two years of experience. I am 33, this is my first baby, and I am not high risk. I plan to primarily breast feed and pump. I am looking for a doula to support in preparing for birth, labor and delivery, and post partum. I have Aetna insurance, POS.

My first-born had trouble latching because of a significant tongue tie. I also didn't receive much guidance at the hospital where I delivered, so I'd like to speak with someone to gain as much knowledge ahead of time as possible. I understand it may be easier/more beneficial to schedule something after the baby is here, I just didn't want to miss the window.
