We are looking for someone to care for our baby while the mom can get some much needed rest. This is our first baby. We typically want 3x a week in the morning for 4 hours at a time. Sometimes we may need a 4 hour chunk in late afternoon or early evening plus some adhoc hours.

We are a couple in a difficult situation. [name hidden] ([personal details hidden] and 19 weeks along) lives in Middletown CT and has one more year before finishing her Bachelor's degree at Wesleyan University. She is working on this final year while being pregnant. She will be giving birth during her last semester, and probably right around the time of her thesis project. Dan ([personal details hidden]) has just accepted a two year contract [personal details hidden] in Myanmar, and has been there to working this position since late July. Because of this, he is only able to provide financial assistance and emotional support from afar until December, when he will return to assist with the birth. [name hidden] and Dan's relationship is strong and stable, and assuming the plan moves forward as described, their financial base will also be reasonable. We would likely have a support budget of up to 1,000 per month. This is our first pregnancy, and we're excited to welcome our baby to the world, but we hope to find the support of an experienced birth doula who can help us through the journey. We are enrolled to give birth at Connecticut Childbirth and Women's Center in Danbury. Although [name hidden] has just begun her new semester at Wesleyan, she is having a pretty difficult time managing the physical changes and [personal details hidden]. [name hidden] is insured through Wellfleet (Cigna), so ideally we will find someone licensed through them to help, but we understand that doula care is often out of pocket.e
