My family does support me, but they live a couple hours away, so they can’t always be here in person. I’m really looking for a doula who could provide some guidance, support, and reassurance through the rest of my pregnancy and during birth. Since this is my first baby, having someone experienced to help me understand what to expect and advocate for me would mean a lot. I plan to give birth at Baptist clay hospital in Fleming Island. I will be 39 years old when I deliver. This will be my second birth and I have a mild cord insertion. My first child was born at a birthing center with a natural vaginal birth. I'm hoping to have a natural vaginal birth this second time as well. Looking to spend under $2,000 and really only interested in help on delivery day as well as photography at delivery. My birth plan as mentioned above is a natural vaginal birth, I'm not looking to be induced or have pain medication. I'd like to do skin to skin immediately after birth and delayed cord clamping. In addition, I would like my baby to receive all of the standard childhood vaccinations such as vitamin k, eye ointment and Hep b. I have no other high-risk symptoms other than my age and the mild cord insertion. All of my other vitals have been great. And just for history, my first birth was at age 36.

I will be having a VBAC birth at St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, TX. I would love a doula who has assisted in other VBAC births and has knowledge of them, but this is not mandatory. I want to have an active labor, lots of moving around and listening to what my body needs. I need someone who can help advocate in the hospital setting, as well as maybe at home before hospital I also live in Beaumont. I am unsure on budget as I know doula services can be a large range.

I plan to give birth at a hospital in Beaumont. I had to unexpectedly relocate here from Dallas so I am trying to find a new birth team. My estimated budget is 800$. I am looking to have a natural birth with free movement no episiotomy no forceps or vaccines and for pain management I want to use nitrous oxide and maybe hydrotherapy. Using warm towels and birthing props like birthing ball or peanut ball birthing stool. Wireless monitors on me so that I am able to move freely I don’t want to feel restricted or held down when giving birth. I want direct skin contact right after birth. No bath on my newborn. Not a lot of people in the delivery room. Calm environment. I want my water to break naturally unless intervention is medically necessary. That’s pretty much it for now still researching.

Plan to give birth at Baptist South hospital in Jacksonville Fl. I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes but have managed my glucose levels with diet and exercise. My numbers are great so I don’t have to take in medicine or insulin for this. I want as close to a natural birth as I can get. I want to use hypnobirthing techniques throughout my labor as well as little to no interventions unless of an emergency. My current doctor is saying I have to schedule an induction at 39 weeks and I need help navigating what is 100% necessary versus a recommendation as I am a first time mom. I am willing to be adaptable when it comes to my birth plan but don’t want to be scared into unnecessary interventions.

I plan to have a hospital birth and I don’t know much about else.

My name is Delaney Coleman, I’m 29 years old and pregnant with my first baby. I found out on March 28 that I am pregnant, and I am excited and nervous. Depending on cost, I’ll probably end up giving birth at a hospital, but my ideals line up more with midwifery/birthing center processes. My estimated budget is probably no more than $500 if that is even possible. I don’t know the general charge for a doula, but I would love a very experienced one who can advocate for me and my husband when we are stressed out and vulnerable at and after the birth. I would like a physiological, uninterrupted birthing experience. Cervical checks are not needed unless there is a medical emergency. My water will break naturally. I do not consent to manual rupture unless absolutely necessary. I will push when and how my body tells me to. I do not want coached pushing unless I ask for guidance. Hands-off approach during pushing unless I request support. Warm compresses only if I ask. I will choose the position I give birth in. Low lighting and minimal noise in the room. Cord clamping should not be done until the cord is white and no longer pulsing. The placenta will detach and deliver on its own. Up to one hour after birth is normal and safe. After one hour, if there are medical concerns, intervention may be necessary. No cord traction, pitocin, or medications to speed placenta delivery unless there is an emergency. Immediate skin-to-skin after birth. No separation from my baby unless medically necessary. All procedures and medications for my baby must be clearly explained beforehand. I want uninterrupted bonding time after birth. We would NOT like any Vitamin K to be given to our daughter or heel pricks done, unless she is born by vacuum, forceps or cesarean My husband or myself will cut the cord I would prefer if nobody was to take or hold my daughter unless there’s a medical emergency This is what felt right and safe for me and my body. Every birth is different this was simply my choice. I do have Tourette Syndrome, which I can go into further detail about with my future doula. I am predisposed to potentially have twins (runs in my family, has always been fraternal twins). Any other duties would probably simply be to help me prepare for baby and help me possibly with some lactation consulting. Otherwise, I have some family members who can come over the first bit and help with household chores if need be. Unfortunately, due to my insurance type, I am not sure what will be covered in care, so the lowest charging with most experience doula is right up my alley! I don’t really know how this goes.
