Hannah is looking for Birth Doula, Midwife
|
Location: Sandy Hook, VA 23153, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 03, 2026
I am hoping for a VBAC after a semi-traumatic cesarean experience. I believe my best chances to achieve this would be through help of a doula and a midwife, as the current OB I see pushed for an early induction last time and I can feel that's the direction she's pushing for this second pregnancy. The OB only pushed for induction and brought up cesarean based on baby's projected size. First son was 8lbs 12.5oz at birth; so not small, but certainly not over 10lbs as they had insisted. My current plan is to give birth at Henrico Doctor's Hospital (where I delivered my first), but am open to other options such as a home birth or a birthing center. I would love to try for unmedicated this go around. I am not a high-risk pregnancy, I have a healthy BMI, baby is healthy, no gestational diabetes, no markers for preeclampsia or hypertension, so I believe and feel strongly that I can attempt a VBAC + TOLAC. |

Location: Powdersville, SC, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: July 06, 2026
I would like to have a home birth but I have some health issues that will likely require the hospital. This is my first birth I had a ruptured ectopic earlier this year so anxiety is high. I need more education on the birthing process and pregnancy in general. Budget is about $800-$2400. I want as natural of a birth as possible. |

Victoria is looking for Childbirth Educator, Mental Health Therapist, Birth Doula
|
Location: Gwynn Oak, Baltimore, MD 21207, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 06, 2026
As of today, I am planning to give birth at GMBC, I am an OB who practices at their campus in Towson, MD. I am relying heavily on my two insurance plans and am willing to pay the copays/what they do not cover. I also have not drawn up or outlined a birth plan. I do know I do not what to be induced unless absolutely necessary (AKA Pitocin pressured) and I am open to an epidural. I am really looking for someone I can rely on to educate both parties involved being my significant other and I and my mother who are at this moment who I want present for the birth. And more importantly enforce boundaries from a more medically trained/educated standpoint on my behalf and with my health/survival in mind. I also would love someone who is especially experienced with the mental health aspect of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. |

Location: Stafford, VA 22554, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 24, 2026
I will be giving birth and Sentara hospital in Woodbridge. I would like to attempt an unmendicated VBAC (previous C-section because of placenta Previa). I am not sure how much doula services cost so I don’t know what my budget is. Ideally, I would like to have as little intervention as possible during labor and birth. I know things can change quickly so ultimately I want a healthy baby and a safe delivery. |

Hi. I am interested in your services. I am currently located in Baltimore Maryland and I am pregnant with baby #2. I had a c section with my first due to “ failure to progress “ and I would like to avoid that the second go around with a vbac. I was wondering if you are currently accepting new patients and do you take insurance? |

Due date or baby's birthday: August 20, 2026
I would like to do either a home or water birth. I need someone that accepts medicaid and if there are any additional outside fees to inform. I want a delayed clamping, no shots or vaccines administered. I would like post partum assistance. I would like someone who is holistic or aware, open, and understanding of these desires. I want to keep and dehydrate the placenta for later. I want my pregnancy and birthing as natural as possible. I am pescatarian so I only consume fish, not "land" meat. I do desire support, including emotional and mental. I am not due at the moment but I am on the search for someone before it occurs. I don't believe in waiting last minute for something this big. I suffered alot from having to do last minute with my first. |

I plan to give birth at Sentara in Woodbridge but my OB’s office is in Stafford. I have Medicaid. I don’t have a birth plan but I’d like help creating one. I’ve had past miscarriages and this pregnancy has been healthy, but lonely and scary. I’d like the support of a doula for many reasons. |

Due Date: May 2026 Partner & Support Person: Husband Hospital/Birth Center: Mary Washington Hospital OB/Midwife: __________________ Pediatrician: __________________ ⸻ Labor Environment • I would like a dark, quiet room with soft meditation music (playlist: https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/gisels-labor-playlist/pl.u-jV89BGWFdJGxP9). • My husband will provide massage and emotional support throughout labor. • Please limit unnecessary talking to maintain a calm environment. ⸻ Comfort & Movement I plan to use natural pain coping methods first: • Breathing techniques • Movement and positioning (not bed-bound if possible) • Massage and counter-pressure from my partner • Birthing ball • Warm shower or tub • Heat/cold packs • Visualization and calming music • Essential oils if allowed by hospital If pain becomes too intense to manage naturally, I request an epidural without delay. Continuous support from my partner is very important. ⸻ Pushing & Delivery • I would like to push from my diaphragm with calm, controlled guidance. • I want the freedom to push in different positions (hands-and-knees, squatting, side-lying, etc.) for comfort and effective delivery. • I would like my husband to cut the cord. ⸻ After Birth – Mom Care • I would like my placenta delivered naturally, assisted if needed. • Please inform me before postpartum interventions. • I do not wish to keep my placenta. • Post-delivery support if available: • Latch support • Bleeding/uterus check with explanation • Recovery care guidance ⸻ After Birth – Baby Care • Delayed cord clamping until cord stops pulsing or for at least 2–3 minutes if medically safe. • Immediate skin-to-skin if possible. • Breastfeeding within the first hour if possible; no pacifiers or bottles unless medically needed. • Newborn eye ointment and vitamin K: apply after skin-to-skin and first breastfeeding session if safe. • First bath delayed 12–24 hours to preserve vernix and support bonding, temperature regulation, and breastfeeding if safe. • Measurements and birth weight after skin-to-skin and first breastfeeding session if baby is stable. ⸻ Visitors & Communication • Only husband + one support person (Mom) allowed during active labor and delivery. • After birth care, grandparents may visit: • Noel Sanders-Williams • Nathan Williams • Tyneasha Banks • Larry Banks • I prefer clear, calm explanations from staff. ⸻ Medical Interventions I would like to avoid interventions unless medically necessary: • IV: Only if medically necessary • Continuous fetal monitoring: Only if required • Induction: Only if medically recommended • Artificial rupture of membranes: Avoid unless needed • Episiotomy: Avoid unless absolutely necessary • Forceps/Vacuum: Only if medically required • C-section: I want to be fully informed and involved in the decision I understand interventions may be needed for my or my baby’s safety and trust my care team to discuss them with me. In case of unexpected C-section: • I would like my partner to stay with me if allowed. • Skin-to-skin and breastfeeding support as soon as possible after surgery. |

Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: August 04, 2026
Status: 21 Weeks | First Pregnancy Insurance: United FAMIS Moms (Medicaid) Location: Stafford, VA I am 21 weeks into a high-risk pregnancy and am looking for a new doula to join my care team. After waiting 10 years for this miracle, I’ve spent this pregnancy navigating some very difficult hurdles and I’m really looking forward to finally having some peace and consistent support. My Journey So Far: Medical & Career Hurdles: Early delays in my medical care made it impossible to get work accommodations in time, which unfortunately led to me being fired. The "Shuffling" Challenge: I’ve seen 4 different doctors plus the ER since January. I’m often sent for labs without getting to discuss the results with the same provider. This lack of continuity is causing a lot of physical stress, and I’m looking for someone to help me stabilize this process. Communication Needs: I am transitioning from my current doula because I’ve realized I need a more "hands-on" style of communication. A 3-4 day wait for a reply has been difficult for me; I’m hoping to find someone who can check in more regularly and help me tackle specific tasks as they come up. What I’m Looking For in a Doula: A True Advocate: Someone to help me feel heard in the medical system and ensure my care plan is consistent. Goal-Oriented Support: I’m looking for someone who enjoys the "resource" side of birth work—helping find solutions for things like housing transitions, move-out volunteers, and medical coordination. Mandatory Requirements: Insurance: Please be a credentialed provider with United FAMIS Moms. I am unable to pay out-of-pocket at this time. Platform Messaging: Please message me here on BornBir so I can keep my notifications in one place! |

Heather is looking for Birth Doula
|
Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: April 28, 2026
Giving birth in Fredericksburg, Virginia (Mary Washington Hospital.) EDD is 4/28/26 but I am AMA and have been told they won't let me go past 39 weeks, which would be delivery around 4/21. It is the first birth for both me and my husband. I have gestational diabetes but it is fully diet controlled and I've been given no indication that I'll need to be induced earlier or have a c-section. I am hopeful to go spontaneously before needing to be induced, because I really want to avoid an epidural (I don't mind other pain meds, but I do not want to be numb), and I've heard that being induced makes it much more likely you'll need an epidural. We've done all of our birth classes already (labor and delivery, breastfeeding, home with baby) so mostly looking for delivery support at this point. Never thought about using a doula until this last week or so, which is why I'm a little late to the game! |

Alayna is looking for Postpartum Doula, Birth Doula
|
Location: Morris, AL, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: February 20, 2026
I plan to give birth to my 4th baby at home. I have had a lot of stressful events happen during this pregnancy that have discouraged me in many ways. I haven't had any reliable transportation really to get back and forth to doctors visits so my doctor dropped me as a patient. I just feel it would be less of a headache to do it from the comfort of my own home. My budget is $500-$800 with a payment plan of some sort. I'm already 35 weeks so it wouldn't be very many visits. |
