Hospital birth. Hoping to go unmedicated. Need someone experienced with pain management and who can help my husband navigate the process. My family won't be supportive of going without an epidural and I don't know how supportive my husband could be if he sees me in a lot of pain. Delayed cord clamping wanted for longer than 60 seconds, until cord turns white. Skin to skin and breastfeeding are important. No Hep B. Surprise gender. Just looking. Unsure of a budget. Just need birth/labor doula. Not postpartum or lactation because I'm a postpsrtum nurse and lactation consultant

I plan to give birth at UCLA Santa Monica. I really don't have much in the budget, maybe a couple thousand. I'm potentially interested in hypnotherapy and aromatherapy, but not opposed to an epidural, and would like a very quiet and calm environment with minimal yelling. Absolutely no circumcision under any circumstances. Apparently I have a chance at getting reimbursed for doula services if they work under a license of some kind, so that would be preferred. I have Blue Shield PPO, in case that's helpful. I'm 35 so "Advanced Maternal Age", and have been flagged as high-risk for my weight.
