I would like a doula as a first time mom. I’m higher risk and my only option for pain management is an epidural. I would like to try giving birth naturally as the epidural and the side effects scares me more than anything. I feel a doula may be very beneficial for me.

I'm giving birth in a hospital. I need a doula for natural pain management and childbirth coaching. I have insurance with Carolina Complete Health, which will pay for doula services. I would like a vaginal birth with natural pain management. I may be open to IV meds, but not an epidural.
