I am looking for a woman who is experienced in childbirth and understands what I am going through. Someone who will be able to advocate for me throughout my labor and help us make the right decisions when needed. I would really prefer to have a natural birth. We currently have Tricare Prime and are looking for someone that accepts that preferably.

This is my first baby! We are a military family, so all of our immediate family actually lives in CA. They will be coming out for the birth, but I would love to have someone in my corner helping me through things. We also have quite a lot of providers in our office and I feel like I don’t know any of them. I am worried it feels impersonal. I have epilepsy and a positive encouraging mind set is super important for me. I really want someone to advocate for my needs and desires for our birth plan. My husband and I are in search of a night doula/nanny to assist us with our 3 boys under 3. We have a 14m old who has never slept through the night, so any help with sleep training would be amazing. But aside from that, assistance with our newborn is the main criteria to allow us to be as well rested as possible enabling us to be the best parents we can be. I am attempting to nurse and pump, so having someone tag teaming feeding a bottle while I pump or helping me get him to sleep in the bassinet is very much desired.

Hi! I’m a first-time mom due April 16 and planning to deliver at a hospital in the Raleigh area. I’m starting my search for a birth doula and am especially interested in someone experienced, calm, warm, and very grounding. I’m naturally an anxious person, and pregnancy has definitely heightened some of my fears around birth, medical complications, pain, and the unpredictability of labor. One of the biggest reasons I want a doula is to have someone experienced by my side who can help me stay calm and present, explain what’s happening when things feel overwhelming, help me advocate for myself and ask the right questions, and remind me of my options if plans need to change. I respond really well to reassurance and clear information, and I’m looking for someone who brings a steady, confident energy into the room rather than adding to the intensity. I’ve also been very intentional about preparing physically. I’ve strength trained consistently for years and am continuing to stay active during pregnancy as I’m able. I’m working on my breathing, deep core and pelvic floor awareness, and I’m really interested in learning how to prepare my body for labor and recovery. I’m still early in pregnancy and developing my birth preferences, so I’m not attached to having one specific “perfect” type of birth. What matters most to me is feeling safe, informed, supported and respected throughout the process. I’d love a doula who is knowledgeable about both physiologic birth and hospital births/interventions and who will support my decisions without judgment if my preferences change during labor. My boyfriend will also be very involved in the birth and in choosing our doula. It’s important to me that our doula works well with both of us and helps him feel confident supporting me rather than replacing his role. Ultimately, I’m looking for someone I genuinely connect with and can trust during what I know will be a very vulnerable experience. Experience is important to me, but so is personality and chemistry. I’d love to hear more about your approach, experience supporting anxious first-time moms, how you work with partners, and what your prenatal, labor and postpartum support typically looks like.

I plan to give birth at Morehead City Carteret Hospital. My birth plan is pretty wobbly right now but I know I want to try and go into labor naturally and make it to 5cm naturally. After 5cm I want an epidural for pain management, and I want my husband there the whole time. My mom and mother in law will be with me for labor and leave when its time to push. I have Tricare Prime insurance and a doula is fully covered under that.

I plan to give birth in the hospital My primary goal is an active, upright vaginal birth with minimal medical interventions unless medically necessary for safety. 1. ENVIRONMENT & LABOR * Please keep the room quiet and the lights dimmed. * I wish to remain mobile. I plan to use a birth ball, squat bar, and walk the halls. * I request wireless (telemetry) monitoring so I am not restricted to the bed. * Please do not offer pain medications; I will request them if I change my mind. No epidural i want a completely natural birth 2. PUSHING & DELIVERY * I wish to push in upright positions (squatting, kneeling, or hands-and-knees). A fan to keep me cool * I prefer to use the "J-breath" and push instinctively rather than being told when to hold my breath. * Please protect my perineum with warm compresses and coached, slow crowning. I really want no tearing 3. IN THE EVENT OF A MEDICAL C-SECTION If a cesarean section becomes completely necessary for the safety of myself or my baby, I request a Gentle Cesarean: * A clear drape so I can see my baby being born. * My hands left free to hold my baby immediately. * Immediate skin-to-skin contact in the operating room. * Delayed cord clamping if possible. 4. NEWBORN CARE * Immediate skin-to-skin contact for at least the first hour (the "Golden Hour"). * All newborn exams and weight checks performed while the baby is on my chest or delayed until after the first breastfeeding attempt.
