I plan to give birth at home. Im not sure how to begin the process and would like some help and insights.

We are planning to give birth in Charlotte nc. Atrium hospital. We currently do not have a birth plan. All of it is new to us. Insurance is Anthem

I want to give birth at a hospital and it my first baby and I just want someone who can be there for me me that will make sure it goes my way because I do want an epidural but I don’t want to have a c section at all unless it’s extremely necessary I know sometimes they have to but sometimes if you are not wanting one they will give you time to do it vaginally when something goes wrong up until they don’t see fit anymore

I am very flexible in my birthing location. I would like to do a birthing center, but a hospital would be okay as well, if needed. I do want to be able to get an epidural if the pain becomes overwhelming. I am not sure on my exact budget, as I am not sure the average prices for a doula or midwife. I would also like someone who can help me develop a birth plan that aligns with my needs!

I plan to give birth in novahealth, I have Medicaid, a unmediacated birth with minimal interruptions/ upright labor positions/but still have options for epidural. Hospital birth, 3rd child. Husband is away for military training until birth, will have paternity leave starting at birth/close to it. Concerned about labor support and weeks leading up to it with two older children (9, 10) and limited local support. Budget is limited with recently purchasing a new house, looking for Tricare covered support if possible. Both husband and myself are medical background & knowledgeable, first two children were uncomplicated, vaginal labor and delivery.
