I was later told that the c-section was likely unnecessary and due to my doctor’s planned vacation. It was infuriating. My labor was progressing very slowly and I was bullied into a c-section. Hospital Unsure but very limited budget (would like to stay under $1500) Birth plan is to be completely natural-but I do trust modern medicine. Minimal fetal monitoring, freedom of movement, freedom to eat/drink. I mainly just want someone to advocate for me and help slow down the providers. I have a history of sexual assault and want to have full consent every step of the way/being fully informed before being touched. I want a doula that is certified and has experience with this situation if possible. No additional needs other than hospital and maybe a check in to monitor me for PPD once home.
