**Tamil Speaking Doulas required** We are an expecting family in the Sacramento area with Kaiser Permanente insurance, looking for a certified doula fluent in Tamil and English. I plan to give birth at a local Kaiser hospital (Kaiser Roseville / Kaiser South Sacramento) with an estimated due date of March 7, 2027. Our goal is a supported, low-intervention hospital birth, and we need continuous in-person labor support, prenatal preparation, and comfort measures. For postpartum care, we are looking for newborn feeding support, maternal recovery assistance, and familiarity with South Asian/Tamil postpartum practices. Our budget relies on Kaiser Permanente insurance coverage, so we are seeking a certified doula who is in-network, contracted with Kaiser, or experienced with Kaiser reimbursement and claims. We prefer a provider with 2+ years of experience and are fully open to doulas traveling from the Bay Area or Northern California region.

I plan to give birth at Sutter Davis Hopsital. I am going to use my insurance for care. My goal is a calm, physiologic, and low intervention water birth. I understand that circumstances can change, and the safety of Isabella and myself comes first. I would like to use the birthing tub and plan to have a water birth if I remain an appropriate candidate. Before entering the tub, I want freedom of movement and access to a birthing ball. I want to follow my body’s cues for positioning, including side-lying, hands-and-knees, swaying, standing, or other positions that feel natural. I would like to drink fluids during labor when medically appropriate. No routine IV unless medically necessary. Wireless monitoring is strongly preferred when fetal monitoring is necessary and available. I want to allow my body to birth Isabella naturally and push according to my body’s instincts and coaching from my doula. Immediate chest-to-chest skin-to-skin. Uninterrupted bonding time for as long as we are comfortable. Allow Isabella the opportunity to self-latch and initiate breastfeeding while chest-to-chest. Delay routine weighing, measurements, medications, and other nonurgent newborn care until after our bonding time. Delayed cord clamping until the cord has stopped pulsating and appears white, when medically appropriate. My goal is exclusive breastfeeding. Requirements would be that they are certified and covered by Tricare. My insurance is Tricare West Region. TRICARE covers up to six hours of visits by a certified labor doula. These hours can be split into 15-minute increments any way you’d like. You also get one untimed visit during birth.

Hi! I'm looking for someone who can travel to Marysville, CA (95901) for in-home postpartum care. I'm arranging this as a gift for my bestfriend who is having a baby (she’s actually in labor right now..), so I'll be the one booking and paying, and you'd be working with her. What I'm hoping to find: a session in her own home where she can be cared for without leaving the house or arranging childcare, with her baby right there with her. I've seen postpartum massage combined with things like Closing of the Bones, belly binding and warming rituals, and that's the kind of care I have in mind. Could you tell me what you offer, what a session looks like, and what it would cost including the drive? One more thing worth mentioning: I live abroad, so communication with me would be by email or message, and we'd arrange the actual timing directly with her.
