Looking for someone to help me have an unmediated birth that can also help with postpartum care and breastfeeding!

​Rest: My goal is to follow the 5-5-5 rule. I’d like the doula to prioritize tasks that keep me stationary so I can heal. ​Nutrition: Help create meal plan that focus on warming, easy-to-digest meals (soups, stews). Note: I am vegetarian. ​Bonding: I want to prioritize skin-to-skin time. Lactation Support: Help with latching, positioning, and recognizing baby’s hunger cues. Demonstrations: I’d like to be shown (rather than just told) how to do the first bath, umbilical cord care, and safe swaddling. ​Sleep Hygiene: Help us implement a safe sleep environment and understand newborn sleep cycles. ​Baby Soothing: Teach us "the 5 S’s" or other techniques for calming a crying infant. Visitor Policy: If visitors are present, the doula’s role is to ensure I am being cared for. If I look tired, the doula has permission to kindly wrap up the visit.

This is my third birth and my hope this time is for a natural unmedicated delivery. I would like support with tools to foster this please.

I am interested in having a doula that is faith based and aware of the black maternal health crisis. This is my first pregnancy. I plan to have an unmedicated hospital birth. I am of course still learning and would like additional support with the various techniques to get through an unmedicated birth, creating a birth plan, postpartum, etc.,

First time Mom had a stalled induction that lead to a c-section. She does not have support who can help her take care of lifting the baby and assist with bending over. Her grandmother and aunt can assist with cleaning and cooking but have disabilities that keep them from helping with newborn care. Dad does not live in the house but will be able to spend a few nights during the week. She may need night help but not entirely sure yet. She is attempting to breastfeed but needs assistance and more in-depth education. There are 5 well trained dogs in the house but their care will be done by other support. Looking at needing help for 4-6 weeks. Budget is about $1,500 a week but unsure of what is “common” and appropriate.
