I plan on giving birth at the Vassar brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. My estimated budget is anywhere from 2500 to 3500. My birth plan is flexible at this point. I’m still trying to decide what’s best for me. I’m not opposed to a medicated plan. I would like the Doula to be certified and to have at least 2 to 3 years of experience. I would like lots of resources to childbirth education classes.

I am new to the idea of having a doula. I would like to do more preparation work to hopefully have a smoother delivery. My first experience of childbirth, ended in a natural delivery that was forceps assisted, and I had 3+ hours of pushing before we decided between forceps or C section. I had to be induced after 11 days being overdue. I would hope that with this next pregnancy I can go naturally and have way less medications than I had the first time. I want to trust that my body knows what to do, but I need to help train it to achieve my goal. I am currently in my 24th week of pregnancy, and have so far had a smooth pregnancy. My due date is July 13, 2026 and I plan to give birth at St. Peter's hospital in Albany, NY. We are open to budget, but would like to stay under $3,000. I am not sure if I will need a lactation consultant, but wanted to look at options and learn more so I can make an informed decision about it. My birth plan is to ideally be minimally medicated, and not have a full epidural. I would like to be able to get up and walk around, use the bathroom, and switch birthing positions based on what feels comfortable with minimal limitations. I hope to have a vaginal birth and learn more ways to prepare for a safe one.

Hello! I am currently pregnant with twins! I am planning to give birth at Hackensack University Medical Center. I am excited for birth and hopeful to have a natural, physiological birth. My OB practice also values a vaginal birth. I am not sure what to expect for budget for a doula, however, my budget would be around $1,000. I would love to have as little interventions during birth as possible. It’s very important that as soon as the babies come out I am able to hold them immediately. I would like to delay the cord clamping, and delay first bath as well. I also planning to breastfeed twins and would love education and support to be as effective as possible in that area!
