I am a trans man. I am seeking a birth doula who is invested in supporting trans pregnancy and the many complications of experiencing dysphoria in pregnancy, and supporting my needs as a trans parent through the birthing process. Additionally, I have hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis, and persistent proteinuria and am seeing a high risk doctor for my birth. I would like to have a non-c-section in the hospital setting with my MFM practice, and be supported in my needs as a gestational parent and birthing person. Also I would like a doula who is equipped to support my wife as non-gestational parent and new queer parents. We have dealt with loss (she had an early miscarriage when we TTC'd earlier in life) and this has impacted my experience of pregnancy as well. I plan to give birth at NYU Langone. Our estimated budget for a doula is $2500, but we are just starting this journey and are open to alternatives.

For lactation I want to make sure I’m doing the proper latching and pumping schedule. I want to make sure I can store breast milk to supply when I’m not around or when daddy takes over a shift. Learn how to burp. Understand the different cries to address it properly. How to deal with baby when constipated.

She and her wife live in Bel Mar and also have an 18 month old. I'm not sure if they are open to Doula support yet, but I wanted to start to get same names together for them if they are interested. Is this something you would be interested in/available. I believe she came home from hospital today.

I plan on giving birth at either ocean medical center in brick, nj or jersey shore medical center in Neptune. I'm looking for someone who can help keep me calm during labor, advocate for me and explain to me my options, and provide different techniques during labor. I would like to receive pain meds but I also want to be able to move during labor. I'd like to avoid episiotomies of possible. I want a calm environment. My husband and I are looking for a bilingual speaking doula (spanish & english). We live in south brooklyn, but the delivery will be in the city NYP. We would like a the doula that is familiar with hypnobirthing and to be present to support us both and some hours for Post-Partum care during the week. My birthplan includes hypnotherapy techniques, soft dim lighting and music, i would like laughter and peacefulness during the natural birth. This is our first baby, so i dont know what a bugdet for doula services would be, but we do live on a tight budget. My husband has Medicaid so I wonder if his insurance can cover some of the cost.
