I'm looking for a postpartum doula to assist with newborn care in my home, located in the Valley Stream/Malverne area of Long Island. Doula expenses will be covered under the Carrot program made available through my employer, so I would need to have our doula pre-approved by filling out a short questionnaire. I would be paying the doula directly and then submit any costs for reimbursement. I will be giving birth in the hospital and may require a C-section, so I would be looking for home assistance once we are discharged and return home. I plan to combo feed (breastfeed/pump/formula). I would like to give birth at the hospital with the support of a doula, I would like to find a provider covered by Aetna PPO Plus and I am hoping for an unmedicated birth, without induction or epidural. I would like to wait for clamping the umbilical cord and for skin on skin contact. Looking for someone with experience who can give advice if something arises that doesn't match with my birth plan. I have gestational diabetes and I use insulin pre-meals I am 23 weeks and this is my first pregnancy.

Dear Pippa, My husband Sam and I are expecting our second child in mid September of this year. Sam will take off one week to ten days for paternity leave and then another week or so later in the year. We have a two year old son (Hugo) who will be in school from 8:30 to 1:30 Monday through Friday. I would like to speak with you about our specific needs, but I think it would be something like three days for five hours in the first week I’m home from the hospital, five days for five hours the next week, and then maybe two or three days for four hours the week after that. Hi, I plan to give birth Katz Womens Hospital LIJ in New Hyde Park. My budget is 2,000. My husband and I currently live in Maine but are moving to Long Beach in April. we have a lot of things up in the air right now and switching OBs half way through pregnancy has me a little anxious. I dont think I will be able to build the relationship I would like with my OB / OB office in NY as much as I would like. So I would like to work with a doula before during and after birth to have some support and a familiar face during this process. This is my first pregnancy. I am currently doing a hypnobirthing course. I dont not have a full outline birth plan yet.

We are seeking a qualified nanny with a minimum of five years of experience and a valid childcare certification. The role involves providing overnight care for a one-month-old premature infant, who requires feeding every two to three hours. Responsibilities include nighttime care, as well as assistance with light cooking and cleaning. The preferred schedule is from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM. I am looking for either a labor doula or a postpartum doula. If my baby is born via cesarean, I'm looking for a labor doula who can provide postpartum services instead- so someone who is flexible to switching should my labor needs change closer to my due date.

I am currently pregnant with my second child (a boy). My first delivery in short was a series of unfortunate events that ended in a c section. I would to try for a TOLAC/VBAC. My doctors have said I’m a great candidate for it. I plan on giving birth at Baystate in Springfield MA. I am have a lot of anxiety about my birth not only due to the last time but this time around there has been a lot of miss communication and I just don’t want to be worried about everyone being on the same page while trying to have a successful labor. While having an epidural isn’t out of the question or having other medical interventions isn’t out of the question I’d like to just let my body do its thing and labor naturally with alternative pain management methods. I honestly have zero idea what a doula even costs to even know what is reasonable, if it’s covered by insurance etc.
