I want as natural birth as possible in the sense that I only want medical intervention if it is absolutely necessary (no induction, no episiotomy etc). I am going in expecting to need an epidural but am also open to the idea of being unmedicated. I am looking for someone to assist with pain management and advocacy while in labor and for education in early/postpartum care for my baby (tips/tricks/lactation/mama stomach wrapping). I would like someone with no less than 3 years of experience and is possibly able to assist with postpartum care at home.

I would like to have as least medical interventions as possible however while still in a hospital setting in case it is medically necessary to intervene. I would like to have a doula for supporting my husband and I in preparation for this to be possible as well as postpartum support to help me get settled in as a new mother healing from birthing. I don’t have a set budget as I am unaware of the costs that go into this. But we are willing to work towards meeting our needs. I would like to be informed of all my childbirth options, like how much is covered through my insurance, maternity leave and childcare for when I return to work. I plan to give birth in a hospital. This is my first pregnancy, and I want to try to attempt the whole labor and delivery process without an epidural, if i can or for as long as i can, and if i cant handle it then possibly get an epidural. I need someone to help coach me through the process of labor and delivery when my early labor starts to when i go to hospital and even while pushing. I also need someone to help advocate for me and my husband at the hospital in case the nurses and doctors try over stepping and pushing things on us. We want to avoid certain vaccines for baby as well. I want to avoid getting induced.
