I'm planning on giving birth at Elliott Hospital in Manchester NH. This is my first baby and all of our family lives in VA so I want someone to advocate for me during labor! My husband and I are definitely more on the holistic side of things, I really don't want to give birth laying on my back, we want to do delayed cord clamping, skin to skin right away, and more! I want my birth to be as natural as possible. My goal is for it to be unmedicated but also I know things happen sometimes where that's not an option. Not 100% sure what the normal budget would be for this so that's up for discussion! Our Faith is very important to us too so that has been a big part of my pregnancy journey! My budget is whatever Medicaid covers, my insurance is AmeriHealth caritas New Hampshire. My birth plan is pretty simple. I want a vaginal birth as close to natural as possible. I want the golden hour, I don’t want any cord flaming or cutting until the umbilical cord has completely stopped pulsating and is white, no unnecessary vaccines, all tests can be done in the room.
